I am funny, romantic, and easy-going.
My Self-Summary
Born in Tulsa, but I grew up in Turkey. Lived in a big city, and
now I'm in a small town in Tennessee. The change wasn't so bad but
it's hard to meet people here, hence my presence on this site.
People generally describe me as a pretty nice guy, fun to hang out
with, good conversationalist.
What I’m doing with my life
Making plans, making plans... Currently I work at the regional
airport in Dyersburg, fueling planes mostly. I guess I'm still
wondering what I'll be when I grow up.
I’m really good at
Many things, if I fully apply myself. I have a couple of "useless"
talents, like imitating accents or movie characters (great for
innocent prank calls!). Hmmm, what else....uhhh, whistling Sinatra
tunes?
The first things people usually notice about me
That I'm good looking. Well, what DO people usually notice first? I
guess after that they notice that I don't have an accent and am not
from around here. And that I'm pretty cool.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Music: Just about anything, except rap and REALLY heavy metal.
Mostly I listen to rock, classic rock and country. Some favorites
are Hootie & the Blowfish, Kenny G, Garth Brooks, Kenny
Chesney, Carrie Underwood, Eagles, Sebnem Ferah... It's a long
list
Movies: Top Gun, Breakfast Club, The Last Samurai, Sci-Fi movies,
Love Actually, Definitely Maybe, Elizabethtown (I like romantic
comedies), the occasional horror movie but not ones where gore is
used to cover up bad acting (and bad actors), this list could go on
forever... I love movies, too many to list here
Books: Refer to last sentence of "movies" section, replace the word
"movies" with "books":) Some of my favorite authors are Michael
Chrichton, James Rollins, Dean Koontz, Steve Alten (creepy aquatic
terror) I also like Peter Benchley, mostly his non-fiction work. I
like all genres, from horror to non-fiction, but I especially enjoy
mysteries
Food: Turkish food is awesome! And so is Chinese Food. I miss
Turkish food...
The six things I could never do without
Music is THE one thing I could never do without.
Some "me" time every once in a while, I just need to get away
sometimes.
Books.
Family and friends.
I hate to say it but...cell phone. I hate hate hate the darn thing
but it IS a necessary evil.
And a pocketknife (it always comes in handy when you don't have a
tool box)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I do spend a lot of time thinking about the past and the future.
What have I learned from the past, where do I see myself in five
years or so? That sort of thing.
On a typical Friday night I am
At home, probably watching a movie. I miss the days when Friday
nights meant meeting up with the old gang and going out for a night
on the town. Of course, not all the memories are pleasant. Dodging
someone else's bottle rockets on New Year's while trying not to
spill your beer...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
If I did, it wouldn't be private anymore, would it? Then I would
have to come up with another one, and then that wouldn't be private
so I'd have to write another...you get the idea. So no:)
You should message me if
You have a good sense of humor and an open mind, are a nice person,
and want to talk. Hey, it's completely safe, so why not say "hi"?
