My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hey, I'm Kate. I'm going to college in Steamboat Springs, CO, this year, but I plan on moving to the front range (Boulder) next year. I'm majoring in creative writing, and I can't imagine a future where i'm not writing professionally, either doing novels or television. I'm an atheist, rationalist, or humanist, depending on what you want to call me. I love music, almost all types, and I'm also a blooming artist. I've kind of got a black, quirky sense of humor - I love Terry Pratchett and Christopher Moore (I recently went to a Moore booksigning and it was EPIC), I couldn't imagine life without Monty Python or Eddie Izzard, and my favorite movie is either In Bruges or Slumdog Millionaire.

I am creative, witty, and laid-back
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm going to write professionally. I think I said that earlier. But first, I'm going to get a diploma or two and ride out the financial crisis in school. I work as a lifeguard and a waitress.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
All my skills are pretty much unmarketable. I can write, sing, act, and I do martial arts.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Yes, my hair is dyed, it's been every color but green. I love the change. I tend to dress comfortably - jeans or sweats and a t-shirt. This reflects my personality.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Night Watch, Catch-22, Lamb, Fight Club, Anansi Boys, and about a hundred others. I also love comic books and graphic novels.
Movies: In Bruges, Slumdog Millionaire, Children of Men, The Spirit, Pulp Fiction, Dark Knight, Sin City, Blazing Saddles, scary movies, action movies, thrillers - but not chick flicks.
Music: Classic rock, the Chili Peppers, Zeppelin, The Grateful Dead, anything with a guitar solo and lots of good musicality.
Food: Steak. Followed by reuben sandwiches, BLTs, fish, and junk food.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Books
2. My computer
3. television in some form
4. email
5. my notebook
6. food
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The state of the world, the nature of the universe, the brilliance of the written word...

...and a whole lot of random crap. For instance: Batman would SO kick Iron Man's ass, though it would be a toss-up between Robert Downey Junior and Christian Bale; the key to world peace is delicious desserts - have YOU ever wanted to commit genocide after eating chocolate cake?; any fan of the TV show Supernatural who writes wincest fanfiction is obviously either an only child or someone with deep-set psychological issues with their siblings; and someone should invent a time machine, go back in time, and stop the person who came up with imaginary numbers.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
watching a movie with friends or lazing around writing and watching TV. I multitask.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm mildly manic-depressive, which I'm okay with about half of the time.
