But on to the self-summary:
I really enjoy political and philosophical debates. It always interesting to exchange ideas on topics, analyze new information, and get into spirited exchanges.
Politically speaking: I'm lean left on most issues.
For me, the world is a fascinating place filled with all kinds of ideas and people. I try not to just live in the world, but to fully understand it as well. That's one of my biggest motivating factors in life.
But while I'm doing that, I still have to eat. As a veteran, I have good experience and knowledge in physical security so I've put college on hold for a bit to focus on building my resume. Now that I have my foot in the door, I've managed to work my way up quickly in less than year and I'm in striking distance of a salaried position. It's a means to an end. My philosophy is work to live, not live to work. So while I am career conscious, enjoying life is more important.
I am quite thrifty, it is true, but that doesn't mean I'm cheap. I'm thrifty so I can give nice presents and go out and enjoy nice dinners. I also prefer to ignore the produce produce produce, consume consume consume mentality.
