I am extroverted, empathetic, and enthusiastic.
My Self-Summary
I'm a saucy young lady from East Vancouver with an attitude and
many nerdy hobbies and habits.
My areas of nerd expertise are as follows:
- The Simpsons
- Video Games (RPGs especially)
- Harry Potter
- Cartoons (Kids Cartoons- they're addictive)
- Anime and Manga
So talk to me about any of those and I can generally follow along
with you. I also have a big taste for travel, so if you have any
travel stories, or want to hear any of mine, do ask. So far I've
been to China, Australia, New Zealand, London, all over Canada
(except the territories and Manitoba) and I've done a couple of
tours of the east coast of the US. Also, I've gone to the San Diego
Comic Con every year since 2007.
What I’m doing with my life
Working building non-profit housing! Yeehaw! And then when I've
built up enough money, I travel!
I’m really good at
Writing,
video games,
debating,
eating,
RPGs. Also, being optimistic, while not
completely denying the state of the world. I read somewhere that my
personality type 'acknowledges the negative facts around them,
accept them, and moves on'. I find that to be particularly
accurate.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm confident (more than most people, anyway- sometimes I'm less
confident and more arbitrarily loud). I speak eloquently. I'm very
friendly.
Depending on of course what situation they meet me in they might
also notice I have a habit of biting and punching my friends (in a
friendly way), I love hugs, even with nearly complete strangers,
and I'm a bit (understatement) hyper.
I'm also a bit of a know-it-all, but I'm aware of it and I try to
shut myself up, so please be patient with me! Haha.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
a)
Harry
Potter,
Xanth
novels,
Sisterhood of
the traveling pants,
Good Omens & other
Neil Gaiman books.
Also, anything by
Garth Nix. Also, I like
Twilight, but not in a
OMIGAWD EDWARD CULLEN MAKES ME CREAM MY PANTS kind of way and more
in a "Holy crap, these are either the worst books I've ever read,
or the best softcore erotic novels I've ever read." I have a real
love for things that are so bad they're hysterically funny.
b)
Catch
me if you can,
Finding Neverland,
Paper Moon,
Heathers,
House of Sand &
Fog,
Hook,
Walk the
Line. Also, in the so-shitty-it's-great category:
Battlefield
Earth, and
Transporter 2.
c) Redone video game sound tracks. Hah. I don't listen to much
music, myself, but if somebody's playing something, I rarely
object.
d) I like lots of foods. I can't pick a favorite. No serious, I
don't think that there's any food that I won't eat. I even ate a
termite when I was in Cairns.
The six things I could never do without
Internet,
Writing,
Imagination,
Books, TV or some other
visual representation expressing creativity, my family.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Writing, video games, and my friends. Also what the world would be
like if communism could function, or what I'd do differently if I
was prime minister (a lot- Conservative jackasses!) and issues of
the day and things. But I don't often think of such serious things
unless there's a reason it has to come to mind. Light subjects are
nicer to talk about.
On a typical Friday night I am
Watching TV or chatting on MSN. Although lately I've been going out
more and more often, I still generally stick to the computer.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I'm in love with the voices in my head.
You should message me if
You're an interesting person and don't use excessive
webslang!
Also, if you- y'know- aren't just looking to get laid. Seriously,
guys. Dating, cool, but I'm not even a girl who operates on the 3
date rule, let alone being okay with 1 night stands. So if you want
that, please don't waste both of our time.
If I get one more person messaging me to ask if I want a picture of
their balls, I am going to lose it. You hear me? Who would even
want a picture of your balls!?
