What I’m doing with my life
I work backstage in a theater. That means that when most people are out I'm the one providing the entertainment. My nights off are mostly during the day, and I love it.

I practice yoga and knit to maintain my sanity. I've started to view cooking as a creative endeavor.

I like to challenge myself physically. I do a lot of things that can be described as circus tricks.
I’m really good at
Knitting, cooking, achieving balance, listening, following, snuggling, being mindful, tying knots.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have kind of a quirky way of dressing.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I am eclectic in all my tastes. I think I appreciate variety more than anything else.

I'm reading a lot these days. Everything from classic literature to comic books. I'm really excited about Unwritten and Saga. I'm currently in the middle of I Am Charlotte Simmons by Tom Wolf. When my eyes get tried I listen to The Dresden Files on mp3.

The Princess Bride is my favorite movie. Most of the movies I watch over and over are silly, campy, and bad in a good way like Dr. Horrible and Sean of the Dead. I also like fairy tales, sci fi, animation, and gratuitous special effects.

I don't know what's currently on TV. I doubt I ever will. The only thing I miss about cable is The Food Network. It's sometimes frustrating to have to wait years between seasons of How I Met Your Mother but it leaves me open to checking out things like Sherlock and Spaced. It's good that I can stream the Daily Show each week, also I'm loving The West Wing right now.

I used to say that music was one of the most important things in my life. It's still very important, but stories and story telling have moved up to share space with it. I spend a lot of time listening to a lot of different things like....The Beatles, Ani Di Franco, Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, Death Cab For Cutie, The Decemberitst, Johnny Cash, Beck, Vampire Weekend, The Mountain Goats, Mucca Pazza, Radiohead, Ella Fitzgerald, Johnathan Coulton, Stars, Mike Doughty, and The Avett Brothers.
I never miss an episode of The Savage Lovecast, Radiolab, or The Moth.

I cook most of my own meals. Lately its been a lot of curries and some approximations of Chinese take out dishes. When I eat out it's usually for sushi, or a good burger like the ones at Kuma's Corner.
The six things I could never do without
bacon, music, connection, the ability to laugh at life, weekday brunch, shenanigans
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The beer list.

Social conventions and mores and weather they'er worth deferring to.

Sex. In the way you're thinking and also sex positivity/negativity in various cultures and situations and how to make things better for everyone.

Lately I've been thinking a lot about why it's a total deal breaker for me to receive an initial message that's mainly about my looks.
On a typical Friday night I am
Making the magic of theater, and then hopefully getting tied up with some friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I like committed and respectful relationships built on trust and communication. Also, I reserve the right to fuck others.

Polyamorous isn't exactly how I like to describe myself. I'm in an open relationship with a great guy and I'm looking to enjoy all the fun life has to offer. I'd love to find a guy who wants to date, with all the connotations that word conveys. I don't want fuck buddies or cheaters or anyone who's "exploring." I want to meet someone who knows who he is and what he wants and isn't afraid to go after it. ...I have high standards.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 27–45
  • Near me
  • For short-term dating

You use proper grammar and punctuation, and have something to say other than, "Hey, you look great in your pics. I'd love to get to know you."

You want to get a drink around midnight on a weeknight, or wander around the city on a weekday afternoon.
