My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm 41, single, and don't have any children. I love dogs and cats are ok though I don't have any pets at the moment. I read a lot and so have a small library of books but I'm not into reading electronic books. Been doing kickboxing workouts for about a year now.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm exercising and eating better, dropped 40 pounds, and in the best shape I've been in for 20 years. Kayaking, fishing in the summer.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Relaxing, back-rubs, daydreaming, not wasting money on silly things, helping people at work.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. I stopped at book 11 I think. It's been a few years and I'm rereading now. The Hot Zone by Richard Preston is an excellent non-fiction book. A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K LeGuin got me into fantasy 20 something years ago. RA Salvatore, LE Modesitt, David Eddings, Robin Hobb, Steven Brust. I read Don't Sweat the Small Stuff recently and I really enjoyed it.

My favorite radio stations are 94.1, and 100.7. Some of my favorite bands are Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Fleetwood Mac, Pearl Jam, Willie Nelson, Carly Simon, Carole King, Neil Young, Green Day, Rush, Led Zeppelin. I don't like rap or country.

My favorite foods are pizza, stuffed grape leaves, chocolate, olives, meat pie, lasagne, crusty Italian bread, M&Ms, Cashews.

Currently I'm DVR-ing Vikings, The Americans, and Grimm. South Park and Futurama are awesome. Other shows I like are 24, Without a Trace, Trueblood, Game of Thrones, 1000 Ways to Die, nature shows on PBS, Bill Maher, Battlestar Galactic, Six Feet Under, Dexter, Rome, Breaking Bad, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Falling Skies. I try to avoid "reality" shows.

I like movies based on true stories like American Gangster, The Fighter, Donnie Brasco, and Close Encounters of the Third Kind, The Ninth Gate, Underworld, Shaun of the Dead, Dune, Office Space, The Manchurian Candidate, Serenity.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
toothpaste, chocolate, books, sneakers, t-shirts, jeans
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why Cthulhu isn't in the religion drop down?

Why do people accelerate to red lights?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Decompressing, a workout, relaxing with a book or movie, maybe playing on the computer, watching TV, mowing the lawn. Pretty much whatever I want to do.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You don't smoke. You're mellow and down to earth. You like dogs. Sitting in the back yard listening to birdsong is something you'd enjoy. Making pasta together or taking a class together sounds interesting.
