My self-summary
hello, my name is Amy but my friends call me Tate.

My dad says i'm lovely my friends say i'm entertaining so what more could you want?

i could just be one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. i'm a bit of a reformed wild child, i used to be allllll about the partying but now i like to find new ways to have fun (thats not to say i don't go out partying ever). i'm a bit of a knowledge sponge, i like to educate myself about everything, making me a useful addition to any quiz team!
i know lots of ghost stories and have an interesting family history (i've researched my family tree back to c1560, you gotta know where you've come from to know where you're going!) i love adventures and i am very very slowly attempting to make my way around the world. i have an impressive collection of garish shirts and granny cardigans. i like going to charity and vintage shops because you never know what you might find. i am super amazing with looking after money, i am very thrifty! i like jigsaws and christmas and politics and art galleries and snuggles but most of all making art and chortling to myself.
have i sold myself yet?

i have the most awesome cat called Chairman Meow, she (!) is a Siberian Forest cat, with huge eyes and tons of fur.

i believe in some form of ghosts and aliens, i'm not entirely convinced man did land on the moon in 1969 and i think tu-pac is still alive...

i love anything sparkly, i usually leave a trail of glitter and sequins wherever i go...

i've studied art to MA level so if you are unwavering in thinking contemporary art is "a load of rubbish" it might be best not to message me....

anyways enough of my waffling!

you can see me here...

What I’m doing with my life
at the moment my life is a hectic beautiful mish mash made up of decorating my flat, attempting to run my own business, studying millinery, making art and working in a shoe shop.

Buying chairs. I'm always buying chairs. There are just too many awesome ones. My favourite is the kartell ghost chair.
I’m really good at
art i guess, cooking so i'm told, reading upside down (fact) also reading mirror text and upside down mirror text (not that there is much of that about!), finding a bargain, monopoly(champ), singing out of tune, genealogy, forgetting to water plants, spending money, leaving essays right until the deadline. spelling things badly. getting distracted, being impatient!
The first things people usually notice about me
my clothes i guess! i seem unable to do 'understated'! my look is sort of pin-up style make up, terrible patterned shirts, mis-matching cardigans, the shortest shorts, black tights/knee high socks, exciting shoes and tacky gold jewellery. its sort of a 50's/80's mash-up, with a sprinkling of 60's mini dresses thrown in for good measure.

according to American Apparel i have the 72nd best bum in the world, so i guess a lot of people notice that.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
joanna newsom, roisin murphy, jamie lidell, james blake, death from above, metronomy, kitsune compilations, nuggets compilations, chromeo, gonzales, belle and sebastian, the smiths, led zep, madness, 80's stuff, disco classics and classical amongst other things.

My dads lasagne (its a secret family recipe, although in no way are we italian), chinese crispy duck, tarka dahl, mexican food, potatoes in every form, olives, green pepercorn sauce, fried chicken, goats cheese, halloumi, pizza, sweetcorn, grapes

ferris buellers day off, breakfast at tiffany's, secretary, a clockwork orange, the holy mountain, sixteen candles, moulin rouge, naked gun, home alone....john hughes stuff is always a win in my book.

as for literature, i like the works of irvine welsh, anthony burgess - a clockwork orange, bernard maclaverty - a time to dance. at the moment i'm reading 'a breif history of time' - stephen hawking and about to start reading orwells 1984. that said most of the books i own are art ones with big pictures!

Planet earth, documentary's, masterchef, twin peaks...
The six things I could never do without
lipstick, in six different shades....i jest.....?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Interiors and interior design. It's what happens when you have a whole flat to decorate, it takes over your life a bit...! i love mid century interiors, my bedroom is a bit 50s/60s hollywood glam, my living room is a bit 60s/70s kitsch and cosy, my kitchen will be a 50's palace and my dining room well, thats a bit er rococo/wunderkammer...!
On a typical Friday night I am
maybe dinner or drinks with friends or a private view but most likley a yummy dinner and a bit of a relax before a long weekend working!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
i downloaded boney m's greatest hits last week.

sometimes i eat frozen chips.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 25–35
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
I'm looking for a proper gentleman who likes art and/or being creative, i like boys that smell good and that would look after me if i fell off my bike and grazed my knee. and in return i'll cook them lots of yummy food. Someone that would be nice to me and never dream of cheating.

I get tons of messages from guys that are a terrible match and that I have absolutely nothing in common with and then very rarely I find someone that has the combination of being a good match, that I have stacks in common with and that I find attractive and they never ever message me back. I think I'm slowly learning that I'm obviously not the type of my type! My type is essentially tall and a bit beardy but tall and a bit beardy obviously doesn't go for short red and pale.

also you don't have to send me an abrupt or odd message to get my attention i get quite a few messages just asking me a personal question, no "hi", "hey" or even "hello", why forgo pleasantries? it makes you look rude.

p.s i could never date a tory.
