Hi thanks for visiting here. Given the choice I'd rather spend time outdoors or reading. I'm loyal to my family and friends; always willing to lend a hand or just listen when someone needs to vent. I try to treat every person I meet with respect no matter who they are. I aim to enjoy every bit of the day I can. I can be quite competitive, and always work hard to push myself; there's very little I do halfway. I have a slightly quirky sense of humor (yes math and physics jokes make me laugh. Do you know any?).
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a licensed mechanical engineer who specializes in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems working at a consulting MEP Engineering firm in Phoenixville area. Simply put my job is to make sure that you're neither hot nor cold, have enough hot water, and that the building doesn't burn down if have an in-office fireworks celebration. Shit happens afterall. Outside of that I'm looking for a new running route and checking out houses so I can create home improvement projects for myself.
Oh I also try to make the world a better place.
I’m really good at
Cooking. Baking is not my forte, though. Coming up with ideas and planning trips with friends.
I also make quite a good pillow for when its time to chill on the couch.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes. They're a nice blue.
I've been told by several people that my personality is not that of a 'typical engineer'. I presume that means I can take a joke, am engaging in conversation, and am polite, but maybe it should be taken as an insult.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I'll read anything, as my multiple full bookshelves can attest to. I prefer histories, biographies, mysteries and some fantasy. Most recently I've read a book called '1944'. I'm trying to decide which book to pick up next. Do you have any suggestions? My favorite book of all-time are Traitor by Mathew Stover, Starfighters of Adumar by Aaron Allston and the Harry Potter series.
Movies: Wedding Crashers, The Avengers, Horrible Bosses, Crazy Stupid Love, Inception, Identity Thief, Star Wars (the original trilogy mostly), The Other Woman, and Tomorrowland.
TV: West Wing, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, Psych, White Collar, Friends, Newsroom, and Iron Chef.
Music: Fall Out Boy, The Academy Is, Boys Like Girls, etc.
Music Genres: Rock, Jazz, Punk/Emo, Musicals, Classical, etc.
Food: I'll cook anything, but when it comes to eating I'm a strict vegetarian. I usually prefer a lot lighter meals (grilled veggies, kabobs) in the summertime and heartier stuff (spaghetti, tacos) in the winter time.
The six things I could never do without
Friends and family
A frying pan and paring knife
My bed and pillow
A backscratcher [Whoops, that's 7 items. Maybe I just like to break the rules ;) ]
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to make a meal taste better.
Different kinds of puzzles to help wind down from the day.
How to leave the world a better place.
On a typical Friday night I am
Making dinner, watching a movie with a glass of wine by the fireplace, reading a book or otherwise decompressing after a long week of work. Let me know if you'd like to change up that routine with a date.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm making this thing up as I go and wish at times there was a format to follow
