My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a person who takes pleasure in understanding things. I also like drinking coffee, sleeping, and cycling on road bikes. I know many things about whatever has caught my interest in the past, which often seem to be things that don't catch other people's attention (based on my experience from pub quizes.) I'm actively disinterested in stuff like organised sports (except biathlon because it's pretty cool, but that's not to say I know any other name than Ole Einar Bjørndalen), celebrity journalism and most of the other things you find in Norwegian newspapers, and I'm also keenly disinterested in US elections.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I try to become learned & remain sane.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Not getting around to doing things I should really get around to.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have really long eye lashes. At least that's what they tell me they notice. It might very easily be something else, but they didn't tell me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I like reading books, this summer I read Anna Karenina and most of War and Peace, but now I only have time for history books. That's OK because there are a lot of great stories in them, stuff you couldn't make up. Well that's probably not true, but they're fun too, and I feel that the study of history goes to the core of other fields like psychology and sociology.

I generally like movies that try go go a little beyond the hollywood formula of explosions, romance and happy ending. Favorites at the moment are Jean Dujardin's OSS 117 movies and Wes Anderson's movies.

Favorite TV shows? The Simpsons, it's really amazing seasons 2-9. Game of Thrones is cool, but I found season 1 better than 2. OZ, The Wire, The Sopranos: HBO is great. On the Radio, it's Herreavdelingen, although I only listen to it as a podcast since I haven't had a radio in years (nor a TV - don't ask me how I watch tv shows).

Music. Hard to answer. I'm listening to a lot of 80s stuff at the moment for some reason. Like Italo Disco and Post-Punk/New Wave stuff. The ancestry of house music and heritage of early Lou Reed/Velvet Underground type music with synths, respectively. I also like those kinds of music. And folk music. And lots of other stuff.

I like food. Anything from oatmeal to tiramisu. I try to eat as little as possible processed foodstuffs and I'm trying to cut down my meat consumption (mainly from environmental reasons), and to spend some time cooking. But I think our society's diet is fundamentally flawed compared to the state of nature, which is why there are things like obesity and diabetes epidemics and so much cancer (figuratively and literally). We weren't meant to always be around full refrigerators, and, failing that, full supermarkets, all the time. We're built to starve, and then feast, and to eat more things raw, raw fruits and vegetables preferably since raw meat is pretty disgusting.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
creative outlet;
intellectual stimulus;
comfortable laying down areas;
some kind of mindless entertainment;
someone willing to listen to my word hole opening.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why do we do the stuff we do? What is reality?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
not going to sleep adequately.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I sometimes dream of becoming a farmer.
