My friends characterize me a hipster. Not going to justify or defend it.

I am fascinated with artificial intelligence and machine learning. I hope my future job is involved with it. I also am interested in human learning and education. I've done a research project on education with smartphones.

I may be a computer scientist (and I love the field), but I feel that if I was ambitious/smart enough to follow one of my dreams, I would want to direct films. I'm hoping to get into it as a hobby in the near future when I have a bit of money to fuel it with.

I recently started getting into making bread. Got tips?

I just graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and I just moved to San Francisco, working for a tech company. In my spare time, I hope to get more involved with making my own movies.

Making videos, programming, cooking, math, procrastinating, and picking out a good beer/wine.

Most likely my curly hair and that I look like a hipster.

I love science fiction, but I read a little bit of everything (except post-Tolkien fantasy).

TV:
I watch a lot of TV that's crap, but I know what's good.

Music:
I'm really into bluesy stuff, but I like things from all over, except country. Here are a few.

Food:
I'm not that big a fan of Thai, but everything else is fair game. I especially like shawarma.

How close to science fiction-y our world really is, how I'm going to get all my work done, and lots of other weird stuff. I also think a lot about programming projects, new ideas, and scripts for short films I'll never make. I'm always looking for a good idea.

Out with friends, watching a movie, working on projects, or sleeping (depends on the week).

At work, I generally listen to crappy, loud pop music, in contrast to my outward facing music snobbery. It's a guilty pleasure. Also, it blocks out distractions and makes me get into a groove of work.
