My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've been in Edmonton just over a year and i'm looking to meet to people; to expand my network, as they say...

I came for work, and moved here from the West Indies (St. Kitts). I spend a lot of time working--my job is very exciting, and very important to me!--but, I'm looking to spend more time outside, more time being social, more time seeing and doing.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am a exhibitions manager at a large art gallery. I have been working in art and arts related non-profits/galleries/museums for almost ten years, and i love it. So I'm working hard to make sure I can do that for a while longer. I'm spending a bit of time in the gym and in the swimming pool, because I like having the energy to take up any opportunity to play. (And i'm doing the dishes, cause they need getting done.)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
darning socks/mending clothing
outdated mix tapes
shooting pool
colour-coding calendars
stacking cord wood
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Here? I have a bit of a tan and i'm freezing cold.
Generally? I don't know, but I hope it's not the braces I have on my teeth. I just had them put on it's some adjustment).

shows i've seen recently: bright eyes, small axe band, vibes kartel, hayden, yukon blonde, the betrayers, fleetwood mac, the luyas, the underachievers. i like live shows, and would go to see anything. anything.

food? i'll eat anything that is served to me. (but am a sucker for pizza)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I hate this question. I couldn't think of one. maybe apples. But even that is ridiculous. [Proof in point... I've recently had to cut out apples due to oral surgery/braces. I lived.] I'm pretty adaptable. Sometimes you have to give things up; that's just the way it goes. If the question was 'the six things i sure do like having above other things' then...
my laptop
my sleeping bag
black ink/white paper
sturdy luggage
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
living in the woods...
how much i wish i had carpentry skills...

On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
working late, hoping there will be somewhere handy to stop in for a drink when i'm done, looking forward to trying to sleep in in the morning, or wondering if i'll make it to morning practice at the pool. that, or kickstarting travel plans.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
i have a sleeping bag that is over 30 years old, and i probably like it a little too much...

You'd like to, and you're not going to be offended if I don't write back. I probably will, but just in case I don't, I don't want you think it's wasted words.

(It would be a plus if you're inclined to have a little bit of a conversation before proposing to meet up; if you know of something interesting about this city or its surroundings that you'd like to share; if you're inclined to invite near-strangers on adventures; and if you care about words and books and maybe some pursuits that maybe seem useless but that you can get excited about.)
