My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hey! I'm Mike and an overall creative geek. For fun I love listening to music, playing my guitar, and going to concerts. I have an uncool small collection of vinyl, but I dig it. I also really enjoy the adventures of traveling (anywhere from Stone Mountain Park to Hawaii!), anything outdoors, anything by the water, parks, porches, photography, have a fascination with astronomy/stars/the moon, history, baseball, playing/watching sports, laughing, learning, architecture/design/construction, and spending time with family.

I like keeping things simple and just strive to be a genuine person. I'm pretty shy on the surface, but there's a quiet confidence there. I know when to be serious, but I'm really just a silly kid at heart once you get to know me.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I went to Georgia Tech for an undergrad degree in Architecture and really loved it. After being in the real world for a couple years, though, I realized I wanted more construction experience, so I went to Auburn to pursue a Design-Build masters degree.

Now, I'm back in the Architecture/Design/Construction field- specifically Building Information Modeling (BIM) for a commercial construction co. Essentially it's producing "smart" 3D building models. I'm sure that sounds nerdy, but it's exciting stuff, really!!

Like Auburn's Rural Studio and Design-Build program, I believe everyone, rich or poor, deserves a warm, dry shelter for the soul. One day I hope to use the BIM communication skills I'm learning to better serve the community (especially underserved kids and their families).

I enjoy running after work to decompress and have energy for the rest of the day.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
...I'm pretty good at procrastinating. :)
...listening with an open mind.
...staying positive and laughing.
...overusing the words 'amazing' and 'awesome' (but I really mean it when I say it).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am friendly, though quiet and reserved off the bat. I warm up quickly once I'm comfortable around people, though.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game. everything is connected or else I'm probably humming to a song in my head.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
...getting dinner/grabbing drinks/hanging out with friends, playing guitar, Band Hero, or catching up on Netflix. A concert would be great, but the good ones never seem to be on a Friday night anymore.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Not ashamed to admit that I do enjoy classic Disney films and the music as well! I also like a lot of the Pixar and DreamWorks stuff, too.
