My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hola, how goes it?
So I'm a fun, funny, wonderfully enthusiastic guy. I think almost all problems look better after a cup of tea and that life should never be taken too seriously.
I love films; almost all kinds. I honestly don't think I'm happier than when I'm watching them except when watching them with someone else.
Music is such a big part of my life, when I'm not watching films or sleeping (the two are not mutually exclusive) I'm probably listening to something. Really liking the whole radio thing they have on the last.fm site. Loads of great new stuff to listen to.
Other than that I'm a writer and have written a fair few stories. Like me they're a fair bit geeky and quirky but ultimately, they're fun.
I may also have a full blown tea addiction.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work as a technician in a high school, hence the name.
It's a great job, I get to do all the mad scientist experiments before unleashing them on the kids...for them to do. Honest. I have perfected my evil laugh for when I hand the experiments out, muahahah!
I live near a library. Truly mine is an awesome flat, all lesser flats shall bow beneath it.
Like I said, I'm a bit of a writer. Have written a few short stories and working on a whole novel thing. It's quite daunting but I'm really enjoying it. It's fun creating these weird and wonderful worlds.
I'm also getting into astrophotography. I'd love to maybe travel the world one day taking photos of the night sky.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Looking at chemicals at work and figuring out how to make pretty colours from them or make them go boom.
Making people laugh or smile.
Pub quizzes and random film trivia, I've been called the human IMDB,
I've been told I am great at coming up with ideas for stories.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I'm quite chunky and my hair/sideburns. Have also been told that I have lovely eyes and a cute smile, d'awwwwww
Have recently acquired a beard. I may keep it if it doesn't eat too much.

*Deep breath*
Books: Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaimen, Phillip Pullman, getting into the Ice and Fire saga, Mike Mignola (Hellboy and BPRD), Prof Brian Cox's books are pretty grand as well as a few other non fiction books (I recommend the Qi book of the dead). I also enjoy Sherlock Holmes and Shakespeare.

Movies: Wall-E is perhaps my favourite film of all time, closely followed by Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I love Apollo 13, the Bourne Series, Beauty and the Beast, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, Edward Scissorhands, Finding Nemo, High Fidelity, Inception, The Incredibles, The Iron Giant, Iron Man, Juno, Monsters Inc (anyone noticing a Pixar theme here?), Monsters vs Aliens, Moulin Rouge, Pan's Labyrinth, Star Wars (eps 3-6), the Toy Story films, and probably loads more that I can't see in my DVD collection at the moment.

TV shows: Firefly, Farscape, Buffy, Angel, Spaced, Babylon 5, West Wing, How I met your mother, Top Gear, Doctor Who, Yes Minister, Sherlock, Mock the Week,

Music: Loads, I have an eclectic taste (but dislike Europop, R&B and rap). Love Foo Fighters, Blink 182, Offspring.

Food: Erm most things.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Pen and something to write on, mobile with good signal, friends, showers, tea
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I don't have a typical friday night. Some times I'm out; down the pub, at the cinema, I once ended up in Edinburgh (I forget why, I'm sure I had a good reason). If someone says "let's go do this!" I'll usually go along with it.
Either that or I stay at home. Is all good.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have guarded the toilet of Prince Edward once (you may ask me how that came about)

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You've enjoyed what you've read and you think we'll get on. You enjoy long conversations and like to laugh. Or if you're looking for a cinema buddy. Can never have too many of those.
And if you've gotten this far and don't think I'm the one for you? Fair enough. Take care and I hope you find someone lovely.
