My self-summary
Rewritten from scratch. Just for you. And me.

I grew up on the East Coast, in a fairly conservative part of the United States, planning to be a professional skateboarder or snowboarder. The result - an extremely liberal, techno listening computer nerd who studied everything from engineering, to psychology to music to computer science. It's not that I couldn't make up my mind. I just find many things... fascinating.

Over the 39 years of my existence on this tiny little planet, I've developed an offbeat, sarcastic sense of humor that keeps me mildly amused, most of the time. Most of the time.

I'm a nerd. And a music snob. And very glad to be both.
I'm also colorblind. I do not enjoy that.
What I’m doing with my life
This section should be renamed What I do for a living since that's what everyone puts here. So I'll follow along. Merrily.

I work in the mobile space (as the kids say these days), noodling around with software and bits and bytes. I spend a decent amount of time thinking about new ways to connect people. I love what I do, and I do it well.

When I'm not tinkering with twiddly bits and odds and ends, I'm usually discussing twiddly bits and odds and ends with my friends. These conversations are often derailed by inappropriate remarks, not unlike most remarks on Arrested Development, The Office or Curb Your Enthusiasm. Things go downhill from there.
I’m really good at
Stirring shit up. Not just because. But because I truly enjoy a good debate about things that interest you and me.
I make wicked awesome mix tapes for my friends so that they too, can have wicked awesome tastes in music. I do my best, to help others.
I've been told that I'm pretty decent at snowboarding and rock climbing. I've confirmed this with myself.
I'm extremely good at being extremely bad when it comes to pronouncing things in languages other than English.
Oh, and I can fix most things that are broken. Unless it's a person. I don't want to have to fix you, or you me.

The first things people usually notice about me
I'm tall.
I'm thin.
I'm witty.
I'm well spoken.
I shave my head.
I have awesome clothes.
I list my noticeable things in sentence-length order.

And eventually that I'm vegetarian (but eat seafood).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I read a lot of blogs, so I guess they don't count as books (but they should, yes?). Although the smallest book that I've learned the most from is "The Design of Everyday Things."

Most of my favorite movies are somewhat serious, or dark humor hilarious (or some combination of). So I lean towards films by Christopher Nolan, Wes Anderson or other writers/directors that share similar styles.

I love music. I listen to music all the time, and question those who don't. Some favorites include - James Blake, Gil Scott-Heron & Jamie xx, Mount Kimbie, Sleigh Bells, Low End Theory, Proxy, Ellen Allien, Burial, The Field, Gui Boratto, M.I.A, The Knife, Fever Ray, Apparat, Superpitcher, Moderat, The Weeknd, Aphex Twin, etc...

Food. We all eat it. I often eat Sushi, Thai, Mexican, Raw/Vegetarian/Organic, fancy Pizza (Delfina!) or whatever vegetarian goodness I stumble upon.
The six things I could never do without
G-Star.
Kombucha.
MacBook Pro.
iPhone & iPad.
Messenger Bag.
Climbing Shoes.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why you, me and everything are here. Or if perhaps, we're somewhere else.
On a typical Friday night I am
Catching a movie.
Going to a concert.
At the climbing gym.
Creating comic genius.
Having dinner with a friend.
Hanging out at a coffee bar/shop.
Walking around my neighborhood in SF.
I’m looking for
  • Straight girls only
  • Ages 25–38
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, activity partners
You should message me if
Oh, hai, you're still here.

If you have a sense of humor and don't mind an occasional "that's what she said" joke. If you love music or art or just something that you consider creative. It would be super awesome to meet the techno listening, attractive, tall, vegetarian, uber smart woman that I think would make a kick ass friend and an even better girlfriend. But even if you're just one of those many things, I would certainly be very interested.
