Your Notes
Edit your notesI am strange, childish, and affectionate.
My Self-Summary
I buy cute/awesome things on a whim, just because I see them and want to own them. I really need to grow up, but I don't see the advantage. Thus, pancakes are awesome. I like tea, too. I don't go a day without having at least one cup.
I'm that girl you see on the bus with the big headphones and the weird hat. If you do see me, feel free to tap me.
I have low tolerance for stupidity, so I can seem kind of misanthropic sometimes. I only laugh at people in my head, though. Not out loud. I dislike conflict.
I have been described, on separate occasions, as anything from "insane" to "a good friend". Capslock, when used appropriately, makes any thing more awesome.
Strange animals are the best. I would much rather have an axolotl or a coconut crab than a hamster.
Please don't say the word "twitter" around me... As well as the word "trendy". It's MY word for making fun of trendy things.
I cannot feel truly happy without the presence of at least one the following:power lines, trains, instant noodles. I believe in subjective reality.
I also really, really like word puzzles. Word searches are my favorite but I am slowly getting into crosswords as well. You know those cheap little word finder books you can buy at supermarket checkouts? I have a dozen or so lying around.
Oh, and video games are a big part of my interests/circle of friends/lifestlye. It's not ALL I do, but I do talk about them a lot if given the chance, including lame references to obscure games nobody has heard of. I mainly play RPG's, but I'll try everything at least once. Oh, and I love MMOs, too. I'm kind of addicted to them sometimes, more so for the community than the gameplay. I don't have a very extensive collection between my four consoles (360, DSlite, PS2, Gamecube) though, since video games are expensive and I lack the expertise to pirate them.
Also I don't drive so transit's pretty much my only option. This means that, if you wanna hang out, either pick me up in your car or be there around noon. Midnight trips to random places are also fun (Denny's, anyone? I'm pretty sure I have a fetish for chocolate milkshakes, though the ones at The Alamo in Austin are still the best I've ever had.)
What I’m doing with my life
I’m really good at
Those word search puzzles in the paper.
Making jokes out of everything (I'm really mature. Really. I just have an odd sense of humor)
Pretending things reference other things when they clearly don't.
Obsessing over fictional characters.
The first things people usually notice about me
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Movies: Oh so many. Wristcutters, Alien (the original), 1984, Everything Is Illuminated, Babel, Juno, Amelie, Serenity (I am a leaf on the wind), Akira, The Dead Poets' Society, Fargo, a lot of others that I don't recall right now.
Music: Like I said to a Finnish guy in a German airport recently, I go through phases of having one band/song on repeat, but generally it's pretty eclectic. Orphaned Land, The Hold Steady, Mew, Gogol Bordello, Arcade Fire, Placebo, a bunch of Jrock, Modest Mouse, DDT, Nautilus, Metal from strange places, various techno/punk/indie bands
Food: beef stroganoff, chicken yakisoba, anything raspberry-flavored, anything chocolate, honey and butter on rye bread, egg noodles.
There's no section for TV, so I'll make one:
TV: Doctor Who, Torchwood, Firefly, Life on Mars (UK version), Arrested Development, Bones, Eureka
The six things I could never do without
Hah, that's only five.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Lately I've spent a lot of time thinking about evolution, and how it is that we went from being a 1-pound nocturnal bush baby to something that regularly visits the moon.
On a typical Friday night I am
And everything in between, naturally.
You should message me if
