sitting with a still mind (while in meditation.) Maintaining a peaceful mind (when not meditating.)

Heart of Darkness, Lord of the Rings, The Power of Now, Siddhartha, Tao te Ching. Alien, 2001:A Space Oddessy, Apocalypse Now, Vanishing Point (the original). Music: Old school and older. Food: Mexican ,Italian.
The six things I could never do without
Warm, sunny days; rainy days; time enough for deep, slow thought (or no thought); quiet; long, long sleep; God's ability to knit everything into the whole with harmony.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
It is not WHAT I am thinking about that is important. Remaining aware of my thoughts as they occur is the main thing. I am present...aware of the consciousness "behind" the thought.
On a typical Friday night I am
drinking tea while reading the newspaper, watching movies, listening to music or reading e-mail... then, later, wine w/ supper and more relaxing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've collected way too much stuff over the course of my life. I need to jettison this useless heap.
