My Self-Summary
What I’m doing with my life
I’m really good at
The first things people usually notice about me
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Favorite Movies: Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Out Cold, Pirates of the Caribbean, anything by Pixar, Final Fantasy: Advent Children, I always enjoy seeing good 3d work even if the movie actually sucks (I do want to be an animator for games/movies one day), there's really too many movies I really like to list them all. I watch movies to be entertained, not to see the best movie ever. Oh, I don't care for scary movies at all. Its not really that I'm scared, I'm just jumpy and its gets annoying in scary movies. I'd enjoy watching most chick flicks over a scary movie.
Favorite Music: Green Day, Blink-182, The Fray, Lifehouse, Relient K, Eve 6, Goo Goo Dolls, Ken Oak Band, Paramore, Plain White T's, Yellowcard, etc.
Favorite Food: Mexican, most Italian, pizza, chicken, fish, bbq, bacon.
The six things I could never do without
- Escapes: I have think about and evaluate things at a rate that seems faster than most people. When I can't distract my thoughts with something constructive, something that makes it truly work to achieve something, it will get lost in negative thoughts and drag my mood down quickly. So I need my escapes from the wandering of my thoughts to keep me in a good mood. It feels like ADHD sometimes because my mind works so furiously that it has to constantly keep working, but I can focus more intently than a lot of people when I decide to. These escapes are commonly video games, movies, my computer, etc.
- Smiles and laughter: not from me, but from others others. Seeing someone else smile or laugh is something I most definitely couldn't do without. And when I can do something to make someone smile and feel better when they were down in the dumps before hand, its even better. It makes me feel like I have more worth in this world.
- Kids: Mostly because of the same reasons as smile and laughter. However, its so much easier for kids to smile and laugh and have a good time. I envy them. I'm not saying I want my own kid, I would probably be more than willing to have one, but I like being able to play with them when they're good and give them back to their parents when they're bad or need to be changed. Also, I <3 my niece, cutest little girl ever.
- Gadgets and Gizmos: I must say I have a weakness for gadgets and gizmos. I like finding those little things that are so convient, obscure, or fun to play with. Its all too often I'm checking out somewhere and see some sort of gizmo at the check out line that's so unique I cave in and get it. I could waste so much money at Thinkgeek...but I'm usually frugal enough with my money that I don't get them unless I'd actually use them.
- I'm not sure what to put for this last things. I could say electricity because its needed for so many things I'd have a hard time dealing without them. However that's only because we live in a society that requires it so much. In another time I wouldn't need it and could still be who I am. I could say food, water, oxygen, but that's a given. So I guess the only thing left that's not something that defines humans but my personality would be the unknown.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I spend a lot of time thinking about what I'm going to say as well. Its very often that I'm pretty terrible at conversing with people in person because my mind races not just to formulate what to say, but how someone will take what I say, what they might think of me when I say it, could it be interpreted differently. That's the main reason I'm quiet when I first meet someone. As I get to know someone, I know more instinctively what to say and how people will take it and that's when I seem to open up.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
Unless that I sometimes freewrite when I'm depressed or have a whole lot on my mind some how fits this question appropriately. And often times it ends up being worded close to how a poem would be. Also with a little added effort I've turned some of them into lyrics for songs. These are generally very private thoughts and feelings and I don't openly share them with many people. Generally those people that I share them with are the only ones that know I even do this.
You should message me if
I don't get on okcupid unless it sends me an email and not even every time then, so if you want me to respond you might want to make sure you say something that will catch my attention/interest.
"Hey, how are you?" generally isn't enough.
