This isn't as dull as it sounds, since I really enjoy my work (I run my own business).

What I'm doing with my life in a more general sense? Trying to find out how to be happy, challenged, and yet fulfilled, and how to help invoke the same feelings in others.

Damn, I'm bad at these favourite lists. Hmmm...maybe I'll stick to genres for now.

(a) Sci-fi (Iain Banks, Richard Morgan, Neal Stephenson), also Salman Rushdie (not sure what genre that is, exactly) (b) On the light side - Clue; Rocky Horror Picture Show; Princess Bride; Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. Less frivolous - Requiem for a Dream; Brazil; Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (c) Jazz (especially the classic female vocalists - Ella, Lena, Dinah, et al), musicals, Hendrix, the Posies (d) Sushi, pork tenderloin, filet mignon (I'm a raging carnivore, what can I say?), papaya (especially with prosciutto wrapped around it - there's that carnivore thing again), dark chocolate mousse, red wine (admittedly not a *food*, per se, but it's fucking brilliant)
