After spending last year in Europe for work, I just moved back to Brooklyn--for my friends, for the creative scene, and for that palpable New York energy. I'm thoughtful, smart, silly, and curious about the world. Creativity is really important to me (I like to write and perform absurdist, intellectual stage pieces). I eat vegetables, care about the state of the environment and the well-being of animals, and enjoy The News from Lake Wobegon.
What I’m doing with my life
Working in education, making time for creative writing.
I’m really good at
hurrying when I'm late.
The first things people usually notice about me
are that I look young and that I might be the love child of Steve Nash and Adrien Brody.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
early Tom Waits
If on a winter's night a traveler
A Tale of Two Cities
The Princess Bride
The Triplets of Belleville
The six things I could never do without
my friends, at whose kindness I marvel
a dictionary, unabridged
a cat or piano
I spend a lot of time thinking about
interesting etymologies, the possibilities of agrarian socialism, and the inevitably romanticized nature of history.
On a typical Friday night I am
not in Spain.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
is that I sometimes have trouble adding 74 and 36. More important: it took me a long time to realize that aiming to be perfect isn't the goal; aiming to be oneself is.
You should message me if
you enjoy the absurd. Or speak French. Or have a petting zoo.
