My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hanging in this city trying to squeeze as much fun as possible out of the most frugal means, but I'm not above spending money if it's worth it. Now that winter's coming it's time for this CA boy to enjoy the snow! Oh and I'll be cooking and singing up a storm too.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work. I cook. I mix drinks. I get my groove on. I host live band karaoke. I sing opera/a cappella. I drink beer. I laugh. I watch and play sports.

Sometime in that exact order, but mostly, choose one or more of the above.

I just started up a new opera company here: Opera On Tap Chicago. We perform every 2nd Tuesday of the month, 8pm at the Heartland Cafe in Rogers Park. This company is all about making opera accessible to ALL the people. Come by there's no cover
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
-Singing (opera to pop)
-Cooking lumpia and pancit
-Teasing you
-Laughing at myself
-Old school 90s dances (Holiday Club on Saturday nights is where you'll see those; "Poison" by Bell Biv Devoe is my jam)
-Mixing a drink
-Talking sports
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My strong resemblance to Clark Kent
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Both the word ones and picture ones. Favorite of all time: Bears in the Night by Stan and Jan Berenstain. (although Beverly Cleary's books are close to my heart and memory as well)

Movies: I can count the number of movies that HAVEN'T entertained me on less than two hands

Music: Most kinds, and if it's live I can say almost all (I've actually been to a GWAR concert).

Food: Yes. And if it means anything, I do eat meat. And vegetables. And most everything else. Except for sugar and sweets, although I do partake in the occasional ice cream, pecan and banana cream pie. I can do veggie/vegan with you (and then when we part I will appease my meat fix. Hey just being honest)

[BTW - seeing long lists in this section makes me even more prone to judge just by your pics. I don't have the patience to read through 50 bands, books, etc]
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why we guys have to make you laugh, but what if you gals aren't funny at all?

Why the DH even exists...

Why I can't stand hipsters but then realize I am one in hiding...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Working. Rehearsing. Hosting karaoke. Eating and drinking. Wishing I had cable so I can watch Ancient Aliens. Cooking. Why don't you join me?! Well except for the rehearsing part.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I like a girl with extensions in her hair, bamboo earrings- at least 2 pair.
