I live and work in Ann Arbor but attend Eastern Michigan's School
of Business. I grew up in Michigan but never visited Ann Arbor
until friends went to school there. I love this town, and I can't
think of anywhere else in the state I'd rather be.
I hate my user name and it's okay if you do too. I want to change
it but I'm too cheap to give OKC money for something so
I'm all for learning and experiencing new things. I love good beer,
food, and music. I like to read, talk, and watch movies. I play a
lot of games (board games, video games, reindeer games.) I love my
cat. She's wonderful.
What I’m doing with my life
Much of my time is spent working or studying. When I'm not tending
to those things, or entertaining plans with friends, I'm probably
tumbling across the internet (reddit, OKC, Facebook, etc.) Often I
hang out with my cat and we binge watch shows on Netflix.
I’m really good at
Making productive plans before bed only to completely give up on
them in the morning, preferring instead to hit the snooze button a
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I really like movies a whole big lot. I haven't seen everything
(despite trying), but I'll watch almost anything. Some favorites -
and this is by no means an exhaustive list: Scott Pilgrim vs The
World, Alien, Sunshine, The Matrix, In Bruges, The Fifth Element,
Donnie Darko, The Incredibles, Cabin In The Woods, Juno.
I personally think, and am sometimes told, that my musical tastes
are pretty eclectic. I'll listen to just about anything except
Country. I won't bother attempting to list all the bands I like,
but bands I'm listening to currently (new and old) are Air, The
Format, The Decemberists, Fleet Foxes, The Shins, Keane, Tegan And
Sara, She Wants Revenge, CHVRCHES, Minus The Bear, A Fine Frenzy,
and Nine Inch Nails.
I used to read a lot, but recently I've have trouble reading more
than a few books a year. I've read a lot of fantasy and sci-fi
(because I'm a big dork.) If you can somehow get me to read more
I'd love you for it.
I like almost all food, and I constantly try new things to expand
my taste palate. I've been trying to conquer pickles for years and
I'm getting closer but I still don't like them. =/
The six things I could never do without
- Good music
- Great beer
- Internet access (reddit!)
- My phone (portable Internet)
- Comfy socks
- My cat, Tuna. She's just the best
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What my cat is trying to tell me.
On a typical Friday night I am
If I'm not out at the bar or partaking in other such festivities,
I'll ideally be on my friends' couch with a bottle of beer or some
such intoxicant, watching cartoons or some shit like that.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I really really liked the 2008 Speed Racer movie.
You should message me if
You think it's okay to be desperately nerdy. Or if you want to
heckle me about not liking pickles.
Or if you like cats. Or don't. (No seriously you must like cats.)
