I am ambitious, queer, and nurturing.

My Self-Summary

I consider myself a feminist... I know, *eek* the other F-word! I put that first to weed anyone who may have preconceived negative stereotypes about what that means...
I love reading, going on road-trips, watching tv, kayaking, tubing, seeing theatre and movies. I also love going out or staying in with friends, cuddling, and cooking.

What I’m doing with my life

I recently graduated from a wonderful, small, liberal-arts college in Maryland and moved cross country to Austin for my first "real" job. I've been living in Austin since june, and I love it thus far, but I work long hours so meeting people has been a challenge.

I’m really good at

baking, listening, making 3 point turns, being the big spoon

The first things people usually notice about me

I receive a lot of comments about my freckles. They're really prominent. Sometimes I wonder if they're actually talking about my freckles or my boobs. Those are pretty prominent too:)

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books:
Any play by Wendy Wasserstein or Tennessee Williams, Sexing the Body by Anne Fausto-Sterling, Candy-Girl by Diablo Cody,The Feasting Season, Children of Men, The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde...etc.
Movies:
Juno, the Breakfast Club, Almost famous, Knocked up, Children of Men, Slumdog Millionaire, 10 things I Hate about You, The Graduate, Across the Universe, Short Bus, I am Sam, Saved!, the Little Mermaid, Ratatouille, WALL-E, Ghost World, Love Actually, Little Miss Sunshine, Pumpkin, the Business of Being Born and many more...
Music:
My music taste is super diverse, I like everything from folk, to punk, to bubble-gum pop. I also adore 80's pop/ new wave, 90's rock, and showtunes. Some examples are: Peaches, Le Tigre, Defiance Ohio, Against Me!, Simon and Garfunkle, Taylor Swift, Carbon Leaf, the Ting Tings, Ben Kweller, M.I.A., Lady Gaga, Gnarls Barkley, Journey, Kanye West, Bob Dylan, CCR, Britney, the Ramones, the Clash, and many more.
Food:
tomatoes, basil and mozarella in combination are always excellent. I love mediteranian food, indian food, sushi, and thai food. I don't really eat red meat. I try to eat healthy, but I am a sucker for a few comfort foods: mashed potatoes, mac-n-cheese, and sweet potato fries. My favorite places to eat in Austin are Kerbey lane, Torchy's tacos, zen, pterry's, and thundercloud.

The six things I could never do without

1. my contact lenses... I'm blind as a bat without them.
2. flip-flops
3. sleep
4. some body of water near by.
5. friends and family
6. cuddles

I spend a lot of time thinking about

gender and society, double standards, sex, my future

On a typical Friday night I am

recovering from my work week, whether that means going out with friends or staying in and vegging out.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I have strange dreams about saving babies from natural disasters.

You should message me if

You're still reading at this point, and you are looking for something beyond the physical. Also if you like the theatre! I haven't seen a show in months.
