I am me, myself, and I.
My Self-Summary
I'm a fun, friendly, easy-going guy who enjoys the pursuit of
happiness and adventure. I prefer the unbeaten path, the unknown
road, and will work my ass off to get what I want when I really
want it. I love
music,
comedy, and
jumping out of
very high places. However, I also enjoy simple things like
taking my inline skates to the lake, or taking a book to the park
and just
chilling
out in the sun.
I can be as silly as I can be serious, and consider myself to be a
warm-hearted and loving individual. I also probably smell better
than the last guy you dated. :)
What I’m doing with my life
I moved to Seattle from Southern California a year ago to pursue my
dream of playing music for a living. In the meantime, I adjudicate
Social Security disability cases. It would make a good career, if I
a) had kids and a family or b) didn't want to do this music thing.
I've never been known to do the safe and ordinary, though.
I’m really good at
making people laugh, playing bass, directions, and bad english
accents.
Other random things I'm not too shabby at: deep conversation about
trivial matters,
snowboarding, killing time, being
positive,
travelling solo, driving too fast,
laughing at myself, Ms. Pac-Man and Tetris, picking out good
restaurants, facing fears, crossword puzzles, cooking lasagna,
rooting for the San Diego Chargers, getting shit done.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm not tall, I'm not white, and I've got this red thing on my
head.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: Johnny Got His Gun, The Godfather, The Lord of the Rings,
The Dirt (Motley Crue autobio), Hawk (Tony Hawk autobio), Zombie
Survival Guide, Good Omens, Average American Male, Catcher In The
Rye,
Comic books: Fables, The Walking Dead, The Sandman, We3,
Invincible, Spider-Man, Sin City, any of Jeph Loeb's "color"
series, Garth Ennis' Punisher, and other assorted Marvel
books.
Movies: Pulp Fiction and all of Tarantino's films, Kevin Smith
films, Robert Rodruguez films, old school Jackie Chan films, old
horror flicks, Die Hard, Airplane, The Big Lebowski, A Nightmare on
Elm Street, Halloween, Army of Darkness, Leon The Professional,
Oldboy, Slumdog Millionaire, City of God, Shawshank Redemption,
Swingers, Almost Famous, High Fidelity, This is Spinal Tap, Say
Anything, The Princess Bride, Trainspotting, 80s films, comic book
movies, all Pixar films, and most Schwarzenegger films.
Music: This could be a very long list.... So I'll keep it short and
sweet. U2, Daft Punk, The Clash, The Beatles, Talib Kweli, Massive
Attack, The Pixies, Def Leppard, The Roots, Michael Jackson, Alice
In Chains, BT, The Arcade Fire, The Faint, Blondie, Muse, The Cure,
old Metallica, DJ Shadow.
Also, there's this great local band named Veritas that you've gotta
check out! :P
Food: I LOVE FOOD!!! There's very little cuisine I won't try. If I
have a week that includes vietnamese food, sushi, pulled pork
sandwich, gyro, a good salad (that means no iceburg lettuce),
pizza, Blue Moon Burger, or Ezell's, then I consider that a good
week for food.
The six things I could never do without
music
my family and friends
damn good food
my snowboard
comfortable shoes
water
I spend a lot of time thinking about
beats and rhythms, my next travel destination, and how to get more
sleep than I currently do.
On a typical Friday night I am
at a music show, either attending or performing, or at a bar with a
beer in my hand and a friend by my side. On a rare occasion, I
actually get to see a movie on opening night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I'm lactose intolerant. But I love cheese.
You should message me if
If you have a good attitude, if you have passion for something in
your life, and have a good sense of humor, then we should say
hello. If you like tattoos, music, and world cultures, then I'm
definitely worth a shot.
