My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
(Pardon the novel. Feel free to skim. Feel free to read deeply and ask questions. I truly am an open book. I don't care which pages you read or if you want to read them. I'm sure there are plenty that do, so it's fine that you don't.)

I'm someone that really believes in integrity, kindness, and creativity. Friend's first is a good policy--though whatever happens happens; as long as it's in good cheer, I'm happy. The, "other stuff" comes later if it comes. In my experience, it's only enjoyable when it isn't forced in any shape or form. I try not to have too many preconceptions.

My art is important to me--it's my life, my truth, my passion, and my love, now and for always--and it consists mostly music and writing, though I like to mix it up with a lot of different things like movie-making, animation, ect.

A friend once compared me to a duck, flowing in a pond dappled by rain drops, taking each moment with deliberate calm.

So I'm here, open to love as I am anywhere that am, but looking for friendship, or maybe more, with high spirited, intellegent ladies.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Playing music, writing, whiling away hours on the web, sitting in coffee shops, or where ever I happen to sit, or stand, for that matter, conversating, philosophizing, questioning everything, learning new things, reading. Generally being a hipsternerdhippiemodocker Bard.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Playing the drums, cooking, snuggling, intellectual musing, playing soccer, playing guitar/singing n stuff with my loop pedal, rhyming with timing, being honest.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My smile. I also like making eye contact.

I love all forms of art and have varied interests in general, so this is but a mere random smattering of influences.

Music:
Arcade Fire, Grizzly Bear, Modest Mouse, The Knife, Kings of Convenience, Built to Spill, Bombay Bicycle Club

Movies:
The Master, 40 Blows, Holy Mountain, Annie Hall, Rashomon, Back to the Future part !!!, I <3 Huckabees

Books:
The Savage Detectives (Los Savajos Detectivos), The Brothers Karamazov, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Foundation (Assimov), Venus on the Halfshell (what Douglas Adams was ripping off, possibly), Cat's Cradle.

Food: Burritos, probably. But if you want to get gourmand on my ass, lobster ravioli with a nice Bechamel Sauce is pretty killer. Or Nicholas' in Portland (awesome Mediterranean food). Oh and Thai. Thai, thai, Thai. 'N Sushi. 'N Moroccan. Breakfast is amazing.

Shows: Rick and Morty, Community, Johnny Oliver, Daily Show, Broad City, Danger 5, Twin Peaks, Inside Amy Schumer, Breaking Bad, Peep Show
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Nature
A musical instrument
Skepticism
Sleep
Forgiveness
My belief that this question is dumb
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Consciousness, the future, political ideology, social idealism, hopefulness, old friends that I miss, the apocalypse, hypotheticals, what I should be doing in my life.

Also...

Basically, I think a lot about thinking, because I'm always thinking about what I've thought about before, which in turn leads to more thoughts in a positive feedback loop of interesting strangeness or pointless pretentiousness, depending on your point of view.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Dncing to or playing music. Or just relaxing at home working on a project, reading a book, or exploring the interweebs.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a bit of an issue with seeming to be a bit arrogant that gets me into a little trouble, here and there. Really, though, I have a burning desire to prove myself, which comes off as arrogance but is really rooted in low self-esteem.

Definitely trying to be more humble AND practice self-acceptance better.

There's other things more private I'll admit--really, I'm an open book. I have my regrets, but I don't believe in denial, I believe in honesty and using that honesty to change your habits and behaviors to become a more noble human being.

If you want to be my friend, I probably want to be yours.

The fact that you care enough to be reading this at all makes me feel like you're an uplifting person that I want to know, simply because really listening to someone is, in my opinion, the most uplifting and loving thing you can do for them.
