My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
If someone were to put a gun to my head and ask me who the one person is that I remind myself of most, I'd probably say (while wondering why the magnitude of that question warranted a gun to my head) a mixture of Superman, the guy from the Dos Equis commercials, and Rosie O'donnell (if Rosie was the person holding the gun to my head).

Having lived in the highlands area for over three years, I can say that I'm urban and hip now, after living in the suburbs for most of my life. Now I can't even see myself living somewhere else, but I want to experience a lot of different parts of the city as well. People generally tell me I'm crazy when I say this, but I think Atlanta is the best city in the world.

Being really ambitious (sometimes to a fault), I dropped out of high school when I was sixteen on a journey to become an internet poker superstar. It had never occurred to me that I might get burned out on poker, but I eventually did. If I could go back and do it all again, I totally would. Along with everything it taught me, I have too many great degenerate gambling stories to give up.

I'm an endorphin junkie, so being healthy and working out is a very big part of my life. I'm a big fan of P90x and have an unhealthy love-hate (love-love) relationship with Tony Horton. I'm also about 95% paleo (95 because I eat pizza about once a month) and follow an eating regiment called intermittent fasting.

I'm a really, really positive person in a sometimes cute, cynical way. :)

Oh, and I really like mixed martial arts. And candles. Those are similar enough to mention in the same paragraph, right?

Say hey!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working on a machine to create more time in the day. Getting mani/pedi's with my boyz. Searching for big foot. Keeping up with the Kardashians.

I just quit my cushy project management job at a software company to finish my last couple of semesters at school, which ends in December. After working and schooling nonstop over the past 2-3 years, I really wanted to take some time off and just focus on economics, which (along with fitness) is my passion at the moment.

Long term, I'd like to do international development to reduce global wealth inequality, whether it be in government, an NGO, or something long as it doesn't take anything away from my true calling, which is slinging dime bags on the corner.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Ignoring my own advice, delivering timely one-liners, seeing things through, writing ridiculously long OkCupid profiles.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'd have to go with my rugged, intimidating good looks.

But everyone else just says my smile.

I wish I had more time for pleasure reading, but when I get the chance, I mostly read non-fiction. I got really into the whole 08 economic collapse and ended up becoming a total economics nerd. I DID start reading some more fiction recently, however. I'm a huge sucker for slow-paced spy novels. I just finished The Spy Who Came in from the Cold. John le Carre is amazing.

Revolutionary Road, American Beauty, American History X, The Departed, The Matrix and Drive are all movies that I really like. Sometimes I'll straight up turn in my mancard and watch a romance drama.

The Wire (closely followed by Mad Men, which is not as closely followed by House of Cards, Breaking Bad, Dexter, and The Borgias) is my favorite show of all time. You'll occasionally catch me talking like a straight gangsta because I've played through that show so many times (and let's face it, it's fun). Right now, I'm into Homeland and I watched every season of MI5 in about two weeks. If it's a well-done spy show, count me in.

I listen to a LOT of rap music. People generally do a double take to make sure I'm actually white when I start dropping rap knowledge. My favorite artist right now is probably Big K.R.I.T. Trance and various other EDM genres are an occasional part of my usual rotation too, but I like a lot of other stuff, with bands like Tool, Our Lady Peace, Massive Attack, The Mars Volta, U2, Radiohead, A Perfect Circle, etc.

I will eat just about anything that doesn't have eyes on it by the time it hits my plate, but I will say that Chipotle is on my menu anywhere from 3-10 times a week.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Human rights
2. Endorphins
3. Coffee
4. Excel (I can make you a bitchin' spreadsheet)
5. Human connection
6. My extremely yellow jeep.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Lowering transaction costs. How to push myself to new limits without snapping a femur. Whether I'm a narcissist for being able to write a profile this long. Also, what the hell I'm going to eat for lunch (usually involves bacon). And then dinner (often involves bacon).
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Watching some MMA, making poor life decisions, or keeping busy.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I really enjoy casual dating. By no means does that mean I'm against getting into a relationship, but it's very rare that I fall for someone.

You're as into fitness as much as I am, you're not afraid to let your inner nerd show, you live ITP (important, as I still have nightmares about commuting to OTP), or you just think we'd make one sexy-ass couple.

Also, please say more than just "hey." The guys find that just as annoying as the girls do. :)
