My self-summary
Hey there!

I like to tell people I'm from Pennsylvania because it makes me sound endearing. I think I can be socially awkward. But I've also made people laugh so hard they've had to go to the potty.
So if that sounds like your cup of tea ..
I simply cannot handle sweatpants in public.
My sister and I are renovating a farm house we inherited in Pennsylvania, and it's getting very grey gardens.
my best friends are my 50 year old neighbors.

Perhaps most exciting is that I work at a museum. At first glance, this may not be too fantastical. Until you are alerted that one of the perks of this is a city pass to any cultural institution in the city for free with a guest. So if you've ever wanted to go to the zoo but haven't been willing to fork over $15, I'm your man.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm an Urban Policy & Planning/Sustainable Design BA/MA student At New School...
while being a society claimed hipster in Brooklyn.

My life goal is to become the governor of PA and save my childhood small town.

I also am an avid traveller, and will hop on a plane no questions asked.
I’m really good at
Penmanship. Even my teachers make note.

Cooking & baking. I love food, and I love making food. Friends are equally appalled at my farmer's market & whole foods bills as they are infatuated with the result.
The first things people usually notice about me
My grandmother says I have very long legs .. that of a biker's.

Thanks to my Jewish heritage, I have some curly dark hair up here. Normally I keep my hair fairly short, but even then some curls will spring out.

Shoes. I do love my shoes, and they are purple and red and green and blue and orange and cream and many a hue.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Arcade Fire, Lana Del Ray, Goldfrapp, Santagold, Beirut, LCD Soundsystem, Erik Satie, Miike Snow

100 Years of Solitude, How we are Hungry, Cat's Cradle

Amelie, 2 Days in Paris, Men who Stare at Goats

Books: I'm a big short story fan, and love Marquez. 100 Years of Solitude, How we are Hungry (Dave Eggers) are often found on my nightstand. My bookshelf contains an array of classics, playwrights (Laramie Project, 6 Degrees of Separation, Chekov), and urban design books.

Movies: Amelie & 2 Days in Paris are top favorites, as well as the Laramie Project, Wes Anderson, Spike Jonze..

Shows: Well, I already said Chekov, and certainly Mamet goes up there. I recently saw Venus in Fur (with the lovely Hugh Dancy) and was a big fan.

Music: Ranges anywhere from Lykke Li to Lana Del Ray to Beirut to Miike Snow to Erik Satie. I have my style preferences, but I love dancing as much as I love piano music.

Food: Now this one is hard. Because really I love all food, just GOOD food. I still tell people I don't like salmon because so often it doesn't taste very good. What I cook? A lot of fish, and I'm a masterful vegetable preparer. My diet certainly isn't exclusively vegetarian (although I have done vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free), but I tend to eat primarily vegetable dishes. But of course who doesn't love a Peter Luger's steak now and then, or bacon. I eat what first provides sustenance and health, and happiness.
The six things I could never do without
Coffee. Particularly from my chemex coffee maker. I always splurge on coffee. So if you like coffee, I am your man, because I am always willing to make, buy, and consume coffee.

Water. As anyone who knows me will point out, I drink a near unsustainable quantity of water on a regular basis. It relieves headaches, awakens the body, and keeps you regular. What's not to like?

My sister . We literally are the cutest brother/sister combo ever . We co-own a farm house and have two cats, two dogs, chickens, and are working on sheep.

Peanut Butter. Creamy, and served with a banana preferably. Or a spoon for that matter ...

New lands. I absolutely love travelling and exploring new places and spaces, be it a glacier in Iceland, a Rain Forrest in Puerto Rico, or the ancient underground tunnels of Jerusalem.

Writing instruments and moleskine notebooks.

On a day to day experience, I'd either say my iPhone or my MetroCard. Both of which in other circumstances might not be as valuable. But now, in New York, definitely.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Buildings.
Renovations.
Places I'd like to travel to.
What pen to use in my notebook.
On a typical Friday night I am
In the summer? Enjoying a meal with my sister and our friends outside in the garden, with the dogs at our side.

In the winter? Curled up in my apartment reading or working on school work next to a big steam pipe.

And in the fall and spring? Exploring the city with my (wait for it) free museum pass to every museum in the city.

But really, I'm happy reading at home, serving friends food, or going out to a show.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have some light man-scaping above my eyes done . #Gasp But to be fair I am jewish, so it's really better this way.
