My Self-Summary
I play sports and get out when I can; rock climbing and fencing are two of my favorites.
I'm kind of a quiet guy, I prefer wine ( or Widmier) to Budweiser.
Lately I've been sucked into work and starting a career in the
software industry, and I've been trying to stick a pin in my butt
to get out more (I've been eyeing Friday newbie night at a local
dance studio among other things). From the computer end of things
I'm a bit of a geek, I <3 gadgets and playing with new
technology. I'm very supportive of my friends - I like helping
people. I prefer to ask how other people are doing, someone usually
needs to ask me before I volunteer much.
What I’m doing with my life
I finished up college last December and have been working in the
middle of Silicon Valley ever since. I like my job and have the
most fun I can with it, but I don't know how long I'll stay there.
Whenever I decide on a specific computer science field I'm planning
on going back to grad school - or even for a different career if
that suits me. Right now at least I'm happy to have a job, car,
apartment, and be working off my student debt :) When I save up
vacation days (and money) I'd definitely like to travel some more.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: I'm a sucker for medieval fantasy novels and space operas
(Paksenarrion by Elizabeth Moon and the Honor Harrington series by
David Weber for respective examples). I also like fact
books/informational stuff like Freakonomics.
Movies: If it's well made, it's well made and I usually like it. If it sucks, it sucks and I usually don't. Exceptions are action movies with bad/weak plots where lots of stuff blows up.
Music: If it sounds good I won't turn it off :)
Food: Sushi and thai are probably my favorite. I'm not too picky. I also enjoy cooking, but it's more fun with friends.
