My Self-Summary

I'm an Ottawa girl from start to finish. Carleton University Alumnus (class of 2005), indeterminite federal government employee, bilingual, unionized, all that kind of good stuff. I love animals, especially cats an horses. I don't own either, though, because horses are freaking expensive (and there's not much room for them downtown where my car-free self lives), and I'm allergic to cats. :( I recently got a ten gallon aquarium so my betta had some friends to swim with (no, I did not put two males in the same aquarium; those things attack their own reflection!). For fun, I love nothing better than RPG's. I've played almost every Final Fantasy game ever made (I have beaten both the Emerald and Ruby Weapons). In the winter, I really love to go classic cross-country skiing in Gatineau Park and Stony Swamp, where there are loads of tame chickadees, deer and woodpeckers. I got a digital camera for christmas last year, and find lots of great photo ops while skiing. In the summer I like to go biking and hiking, though not particularly fast.

Comme la pluspart des habitants d'Ottawa, je suis employée du gouvernement fédérale, bilingue. Je suis diplômé de Carleton University. J'aime beaucoup les animaux, en particulier les chats et les chevaux. J'en ai aucune, à cause des coûts associés avec la possession d'un cheval (et on manque d'espace au centre-ville, où j'habite sans char), et car je suis allergique aux chats. J'offre foyer d'accueil pour les chats (et peut-être des chiens blessés) du Ottawa Humane Society. J'aime beaucoup aussi les jeux de rôle. What I’m doing with my life

I make my living as a civil servant. I currently work for the Treasury Board Secretariat as an Administrative Coordinator, but my true passion is Access to Information and Privacy. I'm hoping to get a job as an ATIP analyst sometime soon, now that I'm a bona fide indeterminite employee. I recently started fostering cats for the Humane Society so that I could get my kitty fix. I might try fostering a dog next. I am in both a Dungeons and Dragons campaign, and a Legend of the Five Rings campaign. I'm on Weight Watchers with just a little go until my target weight! I like getting my exercise though cycle commuting, but I don't want to destroy my bike with salt, so the bike gets put away in the winter. I have a membership at Goodlife but don't go anywhere near as often as I should.

I speak somewhat loudly...unless I'm being quiet (when I don't talk at all). Oh, and guys will probably notice that I'm tall and busty and blond.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I'm vegetarian; I really like Mexican, Indian and Thai food. I like reading the Dresden Files, and I like sci-fi and fantasy films (last summer was crazy for seeing movies).

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Getting a house (how long I should wait, how cheap they're going to get, if I'm ready, where I should move, who I could find for a roommate).
