My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I moved to NYC almost two years ago from the great state of Texas (the blue part - Austin). I'm looking for a fun, intelligent woman who enjoys taking silly pictures around the city, trying new restaurants in different neighborhoods, reading the NY Times in bed all day... and so much more. Me - I'm a pretty easy going guy, a fun person to have a drink or watch a movie with, and laugh and be inappropriate with at times - I don't take life too seriously. I'm also always thinking about food - what to make, where to eat.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Design and the arts are my career and love. I want to be able to enjoy everyday in the city, from the MoMa to fancy wine dinners to old record stores to dive bars. I spend most of my time listening to music, biking, testing out new recipes, trying to do yoga, watching movies and talking too much during them, making art (sometimes good, sometimes bad), and working as a multimedia designer at a clothing company. My latest obsession is watching snow melt.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Scrabble, making music mixes (I miss tapes), way too long brunches, sarcasm, being a good travel companion, getting sucked into a good t.v. series, starting dance parties, making Vietnamese food.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I guess I'd have to ask people. Maybe they're always checking out my butt and I don't even know it.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Music is pretty crucial to my existence. Old favorites include Wilco, The National, Biggie, Radiohead, Belle & Sebastian, Arcade Fire, Queens of the Stone Age, The Knife, Beach House, Rufus Wainwright, Elliot Smith, Lucinda Williams, LCD Soundsystem, Joy Division, Gang of Four, PJ Harvey.
Recent favorites - The Drums, Chromatics, Frank Ocean, Bill Callahan.
My favorite directors are Wes Anderson, Coen Brothers, Charlie Kaufman, Sophia Copolla, P.T. Anderson, Pedro Almodovar, Darren Aronofsky...
Good t.v. series - The Wire, Girls, Arrested Development, Breaking Bad, Curb Your Enthusiasm, 30 Rock, Louis C.K., Daily Show, Colbert Report.
In a non-fiction kick lately.
I pretty much love all food. If it's delicious, I will eat it. Particular favorites include Asian of all varieties, a big juicy rare or medium rare steak with a glass of red wine, raw oysters with champagne, mangoes.

I also really love college football. Go figure.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Coffee (lots), long johns, music, noodle soups, beer, and Apple
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why we do the things we do, how someone can be a Republican, letterspacing, what I'm going to be like when I'm 40, what would happen if Cloverfield attacked my city, what I want to listen to next.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Everyone's answer is the same.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a little embarassed at myself for using a dating service.

But clearly I'm not judging.
