I'm a student of environmental policy and a "sustainability researcher," according to wikipedia. It's not wholly inaccurate--I'm the author of the Cambridge Green Map and the "famous"(ly outdated) World Consumption Cartogram--but not quite how I'd have spun things. I'm actually a bit of a jack-of-all trades: cartographer, programmer, policy researcher, do-it-yourselfer... and I currently work for a small education non-profit.

I enjoy camping and hiking. Alas, I've not done the former in years since being from Northern California and a former rock collector, my conception of camping emphasizes tall mountains and evergreens, or deserts. The lack of car (sold it years ago as being more trouble than it was worth), further complicates that. The hiking above is probably better classified as rapid romps through the woods. Although there are still whispers of traffic from the freeway when the wind blows wrong, I am rather fond of Ponkapoag bog in the Blue Hills.
