I'm a hardworking, dedicated, loyal person. As I get a little bit older I'm becoming a more relaxed person. Overall, I'm the type of person that likes to have a plan for everything, and I generally don't like change. I have a great job and I can foresee myself spending the rest of my life in this area. I've recently developed a love of cooking and enjoy trying new dishes and cuisines.

I work full time. It's 12 hour days on the days I work, but it's kind of nice because I end up having off 7 out of every 14 days. The many days off give me a challenge to find interesting things to do. My favorite hobby is hiking, I try to get out for a walk in the woods at least once a week. My time alone in the woods is something I need to recharge my batteries after working with the public all day at work. Although I do enjoy hiking with a partner when the opportunity arises.

I enjoy most anything by Stephen King. My favorite is The Stand. I also found the Dark Tower series quite enjoyable. Other books that I have enjoyed: 1984, Atlas Shrugged, I Am Charlotte Simmons, White Noise, I Am Legend

My favorite genre of music is classic rock, with my favorite band being Pink Floyd. If I'm going to listen to newer music I like Mars Volta, Sigur Ros, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, amongst other things. I can pretty much listen to anything.

My favorite television show is The Office, it's just not the same now that Steve Carrel is gone. But we're in the last season now, I hear that there is a spinoff called "The Farm" that is about Dwight and Mose. It's probably going to be horrible, if there were any Office spinoff it should definitely focus on Kevin, that fat man is hilarious. Breaking Bad is an awesome show, I liked season one because they actually had some real science involved on a tv show for once. The science stuff has pretty much disappeared since season 1, but this last two seasons were simply awesome. I can't believe that I have to wait so long to see how this series ends. And if the Pittsburgh Penguins are playing you'll almost always find me watching the game.

I watch almost any type of movie. Comedies are probably my most common selection. Anchor Man comes to mind as one of my favorites. Post-apocalyptic/zombie movies are usually a good choice too. 28 Days Later, Children of Men. The Saw series is my favorite horror series.

I've recently begun branching out in the types of food I eat. I met a few vegetarian and gluten-free friends and I've found some quite delicious recipes recently. Two of my favorites have been quinoa stuffed peppers and wild rice and red quinoa stuffed apples. I've also been told that I make a pretty good falafel.

Not really private, but an important point. My best friend in the world is female. It is a strictly platonic relationship, and it will remain that way. It is beyond important to me that she remains my friend, despite anyone else that enters my life. In fact, I hope you two become best friends too. But if you're uncomfortable with a guy having female friends, then I'm unfortunately not the guy for you.
