My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I grew up in Manhattan. I grew up on roller skates near Central Park. Bought a Victorian fixer up on the Hudson in upstate ny nine years ago. Stellar gardening. I had an amazing community of wonderful friends up there. Moved to Cambridge four years ago for the teaching gig. So here I am.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am a full time mom of a 5 year old and a full time professor and sometimes I get to make a full blown theatre piece. Everything I do comes round to storytelling .
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Looking for an adventure, an amazing adventure, in nature. We end up taking the longest or hardest path...by accident, sort of. We happen to run out of previsions early on. But we persevere. Now we are laughing hysterically but the view is amazing and we have a great story....and we survived. I now have a better understanding of the importance of water.

And at home I am good at making life cozy and tasty and fun cause why not?

New Yorker, Smithsonian. I am a Tracy Kidder and Colum McCann fan. I have bookcases and books.

Take a bath with Peter Tosh. Bake bread with Jean Richie. Walk the streets with Exile on Main. Run with Tune-Yards. Drive with Terry Callier or Trombone Shorty.

Shows? Ahh, Friday Night Lights. Woo, True Detectives. Yes! Louie and Broad City. I don't have a TV but that doesn't stop me!

I play music in class and am amazed students can't name The Kinks or the Who. Jack White they know. Phew.

Food I love. I love good food. I cook food. Good food is very good.

I also like to just chill with my son.
Once in a blue moon a dance party that includes airplane rides.
