My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm looking to share life with a fun, nice, adventurous woman.

I do the same things we all do: have beers/dinner with friends; photography shows; coffee shops; bars; restaurants; enjoy family close by; admire dawn from a bike atop Hawk Hill; refinish old furniture; take improv classes; see the occasional movie; commute by bicycle; experience that WTF feeling when someone smashes your car window overnight.

I'm blunt and irreverent with a sarcastic or at the very least dry sense of humor. I'm also super curious about the world around us and love engaging with people about that world and what they think about it.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I eat burritos. I ride my bike. I go on dates. I ski. I search for love. I try to make it my own.

I've done everything work-wise from medical research to newspaper reporting to the Peace Corps to working with big corporations and it's nice to settle into the elements of my life I enjoy.

I now work in software. (Surprise.) I get to hang out with corn farmers as part of my job. I also herd cats, aka scientists.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Doing things spontaneously; being curious about the world around us; historical trivia.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My goofy smile. Plus they often think I'm incredibly relaxed even if it's not totally exactly true.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: anything by John McPhee, Infinite Jest, Let the Great World Spin, A Visit from the Goon Squad

Shows: Wait Wait Don't Tell Me is amazing. Live improv. Last Week Tonight.

Food: fried cheese curds!, an excellent taco, almost anything with lamb, really I'll eat anything interesting and tasty
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The people I love (is that a thing?)
Things I can try to build
The outdoors
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
- How I relate to other people and to myself
- How the workplace is like Game of Thrones
- Whether that car is going to pull into the bike lane
- First World Problems
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
out for beers; out for dinner; headed to the mountains; wondering why I didn't do enough planning and so I'm not doing one of those things
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Admit in a public forum? Then it's not going to be very private.
