My self-summary
Apparently, one of the tests here thinks my true name is THOR KALYPSO. I'm not joking. I think I'll start calling myself that, even if it does sound disturbingly macho. Still... THOR KALYPSO. Wow.

I'm going to Valparaiso for a JD and an MA in English (currently a 1L at the law school.)

Secretly, I'm a screenwriter, and the JD is a contingency plan - but it's certainly an interesting contingency plan.

I love Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, Salvador Dali, Elvis Costello, and David Bowie, but if you like any one of the above, we'll be cool.

(Also, I'm not sure about Chicago Blackhawks fans, being a New Jersey Devils follower myself. I guess it could be worse - it could be the Rangers.)

I have morphed into The Playstation from The Nurse. Scary!

I am imaginative, straightshooting, and quick-witted
What I’m doing with my life
Right now, attending classes, continuing to be a huge fan of 'The Prisoner', and working at the college archives. It's a neat job.
I’m really good at
Jeopardy. Quoting Monty Python. Lifting people's spirits. Cracking jokes. Collecting interesting hats and way too many shoes.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm very short. I look like a midget Liza Minelli - and in fact was Sally Bowles in a college production of 'Cabaret.'
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
They changed this question on me! It used to be what movies you'd seen recently...

A) Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, Anthony Burgess, Andrew Marvell (collected poems). And that's just the As I can think of off the top of my head. The Bs start with Saul Bellow...

B) YMDB says: 'M,' 'Rashomon,' 'Beat the Devil,' 'In Cold Blood,' 'Things to Come,' 'Dr. Strangelove,' 'Strangers on a Train,' 'Un chien andalou,' 'The Man Who Fell to Earth,' 'A Fish Called Wanda,' 'Reservoir Dogs,' 'Croupier,' 'Marathon Man,' 'The War Zone,' 'The World's Greatest Sinner,' 'Life of Brian,' 'The Producers,' 'Breaker Morant,' 'Rob Roy,' and 'Conrack.' (And that's just my top 20!) My worst movie list there contains such gems as 'Manos,' 'Yor: The Hunter From the Future,' 'Baby Geniuses,' and 'The Avengers.'

C) Just as a for-instance: Elvis Costello, David Bowie, REM, Great Big Sea, Joan Armatrading, XTC, The Posies, Mary Black, and (OK, it's not music, but it's on the radio) any and all episodes of the Phil Hendrie Show. (The man is a godsend.)

D) Thai food. Chocolate. Rice Krispy treats. Brunswick stew (don't blame me; blame my Southern mom). Liver and spinach. Poutine. Lots of spicy stuff, and so forth.
The six things I could never do without
Imagination. Sharp wits. Iced tea. The Gunpowder Plot. (Per my recent screenplay.) Gummy bears. Or gummy worms. Or gummy anything. I'm not picky. Philosophy (I see value in many different things: Liberal Quakerism, existentialism, Mahayana Buddhism - essentially, any belief structure that tells you to take responsibility for your own actions and help others.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I spend a lot of time thinking about how this question was more interesting when it was 'Whose brain would you like to trade?' So whose brain would I like to trade? Living or dead? Dead, either Andrew Marvell or John Donne. Living, probably Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn (my favorite author) - although I certainly wouldn't like to trade lives.
On a typical Friday night I am
Watching movies. Or hockey. Trying to figure out what to have for dinner, and then trying to cook Thai food properly. AVOIDING CIVIL PROCEDURE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Update: I hate civil procedure.
