i don’t read many books. if i do then they tend to be about music
(our band could be your life), other non-fiction (the undercover
economist), or have pictures (ghost world). and catcher in the
rye.
i love movies. i prefer the cinema, but good things rarely make it
to the local megaplex. not so bad now that i got a decent tv.
general favourites include dazed and confused, the big lebowski,
say anything, submarine, knocked up, high fidelity, repo man, pulp
fiction, and the royal tenenbaums. not too into horror, fantasy,
war, or anime films. happy to make exceptions and change my
mind.
i enjoy tv. i like watching people cook, and talk about old things.
i like laughing. seinfeld is great. father ted is great. channel 4
news. university challenge. soccer saturday. freaks and geeks.
northern exposure.
music is a big part of my life. it’s important to me that i can
share it with my loved ones. i like all kinds of different stuff,
although i am pretty out of touch with what is super popular in the
real world. i’ll name a few things that i have dug recently.
supernormal festival. supersonic festival. ATP curated by shellac.
josephine foster, carlton melton, lungfish, why?, papa m, goat,
good throb, serengeti, stars of the lid. captain beefheart.
northern soul. punk rock. rap bangers. minimal techno. fist
pumpers. modern classical. repetition, lots of repetition.
i like food. i used to be really fussy, and only eat pretty dull
dry things. life has changed and like most things, although i
struggle with seafood and boiled vegetables. not massively into
soup. i love meat, but occasionally go veggie for stretches. all
you can eat chinese is a rare treat.
