My self-summary
MARRIED!

Just to let you know, that it can not be mistaken: I'm married.

Okaythanks. Now, if you still want to know me, we'll start with the nickname....

The '83 Dodge Aries, K-series is a temperamental machine, wired completely backwards, a mechanical nightmare that saved lots of asses (specifically, Chrystler, from out of financial ruin)...short on horsepower but got where it was going...quite a dodge, it was....never been much seen in a long time. Temperamental little bitch she was, too - worked prettymuch when it wanted to, though was great for A to B and reliable in its own right...

C'est moi. Temperamental, yet reliable. Short on power but long on saving peoples' backsides when called for. And yes, quite a dodge :P

Yes, I've a quirky sense of humor, but wait; there's more:

My interests are:

Light - from glow in the dark stickies to 225mW 660nm lasers, and most shiny things in-between :D

Special Needs Education.

Activism.

Music.

Cats.

I am married , odd, and eccentric. Oh yeah, I mentioned being married. Sorry about that. I've also a short attention span - perhaps comparable to gnats on crack - but I mean well. Honest.

I first wandered in here a long time ago, playing quizlets with a few friends. It's rather interesting to see how a person perceives the world around them, through both the answers offered and through the questions, themselves.

What I’m doing with my life
Long ago, I actively decided to live each moment as if it were my last. I work. I play. I actively try to discover something new every day, if I can.

"Your life is an occasion, rise to it!"
"Everything in excess. To enjoy the full flavor of life, take big bites Moderation is for monks."

Bonus points to those who know the origins of those two quotes. Google doesn't count.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Food: Edible. Wow, that was easy.

Books: I've not had, nor made any time, for sitting still long enough to read a novel -- not even a graphic novel. I have an esoteric collection - from Heinlein to Eugenides to Yayoi - a wide range of what-have-you. Yeah...not much you can gather from that. Okay.

Music: Pink Floyd. Dead Kennedys. Linkin Park. Paradise Lost, Nirvana, Mindless Self Indulgence, Lords of Acid, Lucky Boy's Confusion , Pennywise, The Cure, Depeche Mode ,Iggy Pop & Stooges, Radiohead , Saliva,Everclear , Toad the Wet Sprocket, Dashboard Confessional , Coldplay, Flogging Molly, Vandals, Varukers, Bratmobile, Joan Jett, You get idea : eclectic....ask!

Movies: In no particular order.... Clockwork Orange, Trainspotting, Where The Day Takes You, Blade series, Se7en (that's an abortion in that box), Thir13een, Pitch Black,Chronicles of Riddick, I Robot, Shrek (first movie only), Lord Of The Flies (orig vers.), Bicentennial Man, Night of the Living Dead (all versions...don't ask), Flashback (Keifer Sutherland movie I have my reasons shaddup), Spawn, Animal House, Blues Brothers (First and ONLY version), American Graffitti, all Star Wars (Though Episode 2 REALLY begged not to get so bogged in - nevermind...) Rocky Horror Picture Show (The events, more than the movie...nevermind), Rock N Roll High School, Pump Up the Volume, The Decline of Western Civilization (all), Sid and Nancy (I don't know...it's a thing),Tim Burton movies

Okay, that's all my poor brain can think of...make of it what you will...and no, I don't need the number of a psychotrickerist...my marbles are lined up nicely, thanQ

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life, laughter, and the exhilaration of cruising down the cross section of a mobius strip after evading a citation for double parking in a parallel universe at a tailgate party, where participants often dine on mental fodder with a fine flavor of absurd, sage - seasoned with added thyme.

I’m looking for
  • Everybody
  • Ages 26-62
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-distance penpals
You should message me if
Actually, as this site is primarily a dating site, I wouldn't recommend it: I'm married, and will try to tactfully dodge.

Still and all, if you seek a friendship with someone whose first travels in life began at ten degrees from normal, and whose journeys have, since inception, continued on the same trajectory ...well...it's all good.

Congratulations on surviving the verbosity resilience portion on acquaintanceship with me. Proceed at your own risk.
