My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I loathe self-summaries.

They're the elevator pitches of the internet and almost always useless. I don't need to say I'm passionate - I need to *be* passionate.

I have many hobbies. They are awesome. They're also utterly boring to talk about if you're also not into them - mostly because they are experiential and talking about doing something isn't that exciting unless both sides are vested in the hobby. But I can totally go for a fair bit about how Wizards of the Coast putting in a paragraph saying that Trans is a Thing and it's cool and how it relates to the greater tolerance of (most of) society these days if you want or how the wave function generated by a Systema practitioner 'curves' inside the body.

Additional quick note - if you have 'Strictly Monogamous' or 'Monogamous' as your 'Relationship Type' we have some irreconcilable differences.
What I’m doing with my life

The first things people usually notice about me

Either I am described as quiet and ninja-like or overeducated and 'know it all'

I like to think of it as having had a proper education.

Non-interactive media short answer: many things - so long as it doesn't devolve into mindless orgies or multi-page political diatribes. NEW for 2013 - Miseryporn. That's now on the list. Thank you BBC 3. If I wanted nothing but utter bleakness and horror I'd be working for a non-profit.

Series or Books I have Enjoyed and/or Taken Something From (which may or may not involve accidental quotations) - Mercedes Lacky Oathbreaker series, Diskworld (all my yes), Modern Prometheus, To Build A Fire and Another Day, Another Dungeon.

Some Recent favorites - Skin Horse, Saga, Charles Stross' Laundry Series, Arrow, Kill la Kill, Witchcraft Works, Words God Only Knows, Archer, Warehouse 13, Person of Interest, Frozen.

I have a weakness for Covers, Abridged Series, Anime, Mashups and evo/devolutions.

I loathe laugh tracks and look forward to the day where you can purchase old shows with them removed.

Food: Mostly anything. I have a strong distaste for fish and bitter. I quite enjoy (mostly Americanized) Chinese, Indian (Northern) and well prepared meat. Also too, Anthony's Pizza.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Spell Check.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to get more hours into my day.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Friday is game night unless preempted by a party.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

Through a series of comedic coincidences worthy of a Hugh Grant Romantic Comedy I met my wife due to OK Cupid.

You want to geek out about history, alt-history, sci-fi, fantasy, martial arts (western and eastern), games (Board Games, table top RPGs of the video sort ), the perils of your work seeming to be a pale imitation of someone with talent (imposter syndrome) or cooking. Or Kink. We could totally talk about kink.

You are comfortable with the fact that I have a primary relationship and am 'All In', as they say, on it.

You've got an excellent suggestion for something I should be watching/reading/listening to so I can check it out.

You know where a guy can go for a good hot-sour soup now that Great Lakes and Orient Express are closed.
