My self-summary
I find peace in nature, art, science, great thoughts...things that expand my horizon and offer new perspectives. I like to travel, to listen, and to learn. I am a passionate and intense woman. Smart, quite unconventional, playful, goofy, open minded, a bit demanding, and filled with curiosity.

Some of my favorite moments are the timeless ones spent on the water or hiking through the hills. Life itself is a wonderful reason to be alive. The joy of waking up every morning. Moments of emotional exchange. Sunsets. Rainstorms. Breathing.

I am generous and passionate. Eye contact is important, as is the ability to stay present in the moment...allowing for all sorts of magic to happen: laughing, learning, talking, more laughing, stimulating conversation, delightful silences, reading walking, hiking, enjoying nature and travel, sleeping, laughing, play.

I'm looking for someone to enjoy life with (although all things in their time) to share the experience of our days and nights...and find joy in the unusual.

I am a gardener. I enjoy having my fingers in the dirt with little sense of time passing. I like to hike, to kayak, to cycle, and whatever else brings me into contact with nature.

I have a few good friends, very good friends. The kind that you have for a lifetime. And I am fortunate that they have circulated around the globe because I have taken some great journeys going to visit them.

I like simplicity: simple lines and simple design. Everywhere I live, work, or garden I pay close attention to space and how it plays with the world around it. And I take this simplicity of form into my life. I look for the simplest answers to problems abd the easiest way to move forward.

I am not much for practical aspirations. A place to live is nice. A car is convenient. Money is helpful. Insurance is smart. But these things do not drive me and they do not motivate me.

I am committed to growing old with joy and spirit. I have noticed that with my age has come more wisdom and I look forward to more wisdom.
What I’m doing with my life
I spend a lot of time outdoors and I do lots of yoga. As long as my work offers me the opportunity to be creative, I am satisfied. For 4+ years I sat on the board of food co-ops where - more than anything - I learned leadership and strategic thinking. I'm currently working for a start-up which has demanding hours. I recently moved into a new home in Columbia City - a green home which I am thrilled to be in. I'm a bit caught up in making it just right, the challenge of making a house into a home. I am passionate about it and have thrown myself into the experience.
I’m really good at
Writing...pretty darn good. Hiking, kayaking, cycling...not great but I love it and do it. Yoga...definitely not a master but I've been doing it for 30+ years. Project Management...darn good. Leadership...always working on it. Exploring new ideas...good. Traveling...somewhat good. Gardening...excellent! Preparing food...good. Enjoying people...great. Meditating...not as good as I would like to be. Listening...A+. Strategic thinking...getting better every day.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my big hair, my open smile, and that I talk with my hands.

The six things I could never do without
Hope, love, joy, friends, nature, laughter.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My work, my creative projects, my next adventure, my secret powers.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Although I qualify as an introvert (I find myself most creative and inspired in small groups and alone), I balance that out with a love of people. Wherever I go, people fascinate me: all the shades of grey, the furrows on their brows, their laughter, their noise, their dance. I am a part of this world and I love its people...all of them.

  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 40–60

  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating

You are a good kisser.

I like meeting up in person - that really says everything. So, message me if you'd like to meet up (probably not if you just want to email back and forth).

If you do read this and find me interesting, I hope that you make contact and we talk or meet up. Enjoy!
