My self-summary
I have 25 children. They are all named Lars regardless of gender. I love none of them.

(I'm far from normal and that's fine by me.)
What I’m doing with my life
Go to school, go to work, plan fantastic adventures when I should be focusing on school or work. I don't focus well.
I’m really good at
Being socially awkward. Sarcasm. Day dreaming. (but I never remember dreams when I wake up. it's odd.) And i'm really good at offending people when i'm trying to give a compliment. It's a rare gift.
The first things people usually notice about me
I get loud when I drink. I like to use big words. My dentist says I have very healthy teeth. I'm not afraid to share my opinion. Ever.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favorite books: I'm partial to historical nonfiction, science fiction short stories (who doesn't love Lovecraft?). I'm pushing through the Song of Ice and Fire books. It's not going well. I'm also a news junkie. While not technically books, it's still a type of reading.

Favorite movies: I'm all over the map on this one. I love movies and will give just about anything a look. That being said, my favorite movie is Last of the Mohicans and my least favorite is the new Desolation of Smaug hobbit movie. Dreadful. Did they really need to have the dwarf/elf romance?

Favorite shows: documentaries of all sorts. I never get sick of WWII documentaries. Luckily, there is no shortage of those. A
list of favorites past & present: Archer, ATHF, Venture Bros., Frisky Dingo, Breaking Bad, Doctor Who, the various Stargate series, Firefly, Farscape, Arrested Development and Game of Thrones (it's a magnificent train wreck at times). When I review my list, it occurs to me that I am kind of a geek.

Favorite music: Love music of all sorts. While every genre of music has something that is brilliant and worthy of attention, it's just easier to find with some than with other. If it's electronic and/or Scandinavian i'm predisposed to interest. I have music playing all day long from one source or another. It's a must. Random list: A Perfect Circle, Al Green, Atmosphere, Beastie Boys, Best Coast, Bill Withers, Bitter:Sweet, Bjork, Black Sabbath, David Bowie, Dio, DJ Shadow, Fever Ray Iron Maiden, Johnny Cash, Lana Del Rey, Massive Attack, Metallica, Morcheeba, Mum, Portishead, Roysopp, Supreme Beings of Leisure, The Animals, The Beatles, The Decemberists, The Knife, Thievery Incorporated, Tool. Blah blah. I'm all over the map.
The six things I could never do without
In no particular order:

1. The musical stylings of Ronnie James Dio. I dare you to listen to Stargazer and pretend you aren't having fun.

2. The opportunity to travel and see the world. I've been out of the country and hemisphere a few times. Want more. Much more.

3. Global news. I like to know what's happening elsewhere and look for connections.

4. Vodka. Solvent, disinfectant, fuel, poison ivy cure, bandage remover, martinis... its the WD40 of potables.

5. Privacy. I can be weird about it.

6. Spontaneously and recklessly singing James Blunt's 'You're Beautiful' poorly. VERY poorly.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I day dream and dwell on embarrassing things I did a decade ago. At times, it's kind of a struggle to be mindful and focus on the moment. But, what's going on in my head is probably more interesting than the moment.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm trying to teach myself how to yodel. It's not coming along well at all.

You should message me if
If you accept that you're enough of a hedonist to forego the future in favor of enjoying the moment from time to time.

If you consider yourself a dreamer or free spirit who is unconcerned with what is realistic or practical.

If you are willing to challenge others and be challenged.

If thinking about the world elevates you, crushes you, make you furious, or a rapidly cycling combination of the three.

If you think activities are best enjoyed in thematic attire.

If you have a passion for something. It doesn't matter what so long as it moves you.

Or if you're just looking for something to do.
