My Self-Summary
i'm into great music
but i'm painfully critical of it to the point of being somewhat of
a music nerd. yes, i enjoyed high fidelity, got the in-jokes,
and read "cash" by johnny cash. i'm single.. originally
unintentionally, but currently it's my choice of being. (UPDATE:
currently not listed as single, for reasons i'm not going in to
unless i know ya) sure im straight, but im not that serious about
it. i'm a fan of philosophy, and have played guitar in
a few rock bands. i'm
also a very proud dad of a 6 year old girl. i love really good
black coffee,
really good red wine and trying out different kinds of really good
beer.. and drinking
plenty of all three...also appears i'm a little slack on the
'thinking of new adjectives' front.
What I’m doing with my life
currently i am working in a field completely unrelated to my
degree. y'know, there just aren't that many positions vacant for
philosophers:) ... i hang out with my groovy daughter a few days a
week. in the few brief moments of spare time i have, i am fixing up
a 1974 celica (which will be super cool when its finished).
I’m really good at
talking shit after my 5th beer. music trivia. over-analyzing.

movies: naked lunch is my all time favourite, hands down. Also really dug being john malkovitch, i heart huckabees, and can't help myself when it comes to anything featuring bruce campbell... and supertroopers is freakin hilarious.

music: i am hard to please... but then i end up ruining my cred by getting way into something super daggy... like panic at the freaking disco. sigh. i like do like pink floyd, the deftones, the hives, the marz volta, modest mouse, air, the cure, elliot smith, jon spencer, the beatles, mia dyson... and i really probably should mention that I have a bit of a thing about prince. Shutup, he's awesome...

I spend a lot of time thinking about
..whether or not my perception of reality has any relation to the
way the world really is.. and what the world is when it isn't being
perceived... and why people/societies feel the need to categorize
things that don't suit categories (music/sexuality).. i love
finding out the origins of obscure words or colloquial
expressions... and why i seem to be incapable of ending written
sentences; instead preferring to let them trail off with a series
of full stops...
On a typical Friday night I am
either (a) colouring in with my cool daughter, or (b) having a beer
with a few mates, maybe watching a killer band. ***update*** (c)
possibly going to a game of AFL.. which to the surprise of all of my
friends (and myself!) I've become quite a fan of...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
i'm really freaking moody. i'm addicted to text messaging. i've
made out with guys. i have a few too many toys for a grown man.
hell i don't know, what the frig is this 'private' category any
way? if i'm willing to admit it, doesn't that preclude it from
fitting into this category at all? oh, i should possibly mention
that i have a habit of going off on tangents..
