My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm independent and opinionated. Big hearted and loyal. I love complexity and nuance. I have dreams of grandeur. Sometimes I'm shy and awkward, other times I'm over-the-top and suave. I'm hard to pin down. I crave newness and excitement.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Crusading for equality and justice for all. I get paid to enforce housing equality. I volunteer on a sexual assault and domestic violence hotline.
Outside of work I keep myself busy with activities that often revolve around eating, drinking and/or dancing with friends both old and new.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Baking. Reading. Sleeping. Talking. Laughing. Making weird faces. Not putting my laundry away. Making good choices. Job interviews. Playing with small children. Having a positive attitude about everything. (Getting better at) yoga. Climbing on rooftops. Wandering around cities by myself. Riding my bike in a dress. Talking nonsense. Talking sense. Dreaming.
The first things people usually notice about me

I am a tallish white female wearing clothes of some sort and I'm in my 20's. Then maybe that I have a nose ring and some little tattoos.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I'm an avid reader, I've hardly ever met a book I didn't like. If I've got a good book and a cozy spot in which to read it I can be content for hours.
Most recent books are- Bonk: The Curious Coupling of Science and Sex, Khul-Khaal: 5 Egyptian Women Tell Their Stories, and Wild.

My all time favorite movie is, and probably always will be, Gone with the Wind. However, I sometimes feel very conflicted about this.

shows I've seen in their entirety- lost, gilmore girls, bomb girls, call the midwife, twin peaks, firefly, scrubs (before jd left, then its no longer scrubs), game of thrones, American Horror Story, GIRLS, the following, the white queen, a young doctors notebook and other stories, orange is the new black.

shows I've seen a lot of- trueblood, south park, archer, adventure time, arrested development, ncis, law and order svu, the carol burnett show.

My favorite music is anything I can sing along with really loudly in my car during rush hour, dissipates the rage about traffic.

I love food more for the making and sharing of it with others. So my favorite foods are those that are made for or by me. I'll literally eat anything if someone else made it with me in mind. But if you really want to know, I'm a lazy vegetarian and some foods at the top of my list are hummus, guacamole/avocados, cheese, and mangoes. My favorite types of food are Thai food and Indian food.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
a kitchen, my family, people who share my point of view, love, fun, and passion
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Inequality, race, privilege, fair housing, feminism, the future (will things ever get "better"?)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Having a great time
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I predominantly like men but I've been known to like women just as much. I think labels are problematic so I choose not to label myself. Unfortunately the OKC requires it.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You want to go on an adventure.
You have a suggestion for a pumpkin beer I haven't tried yet.
You enjoy playing board games.
You have a new recipe you want to try and need an excuse.
Or any other reason that seems good to you.
Just don't send me something about how we will/should have sex. And certainly don't message me if you are anti-feminism or any other social justice movement.
