My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I like new pants and old t-shirts. I think the best days start with good coffee, and end with good beer - with good friends everywhere in between. I think any day that someone brings their dog to work is a good day.

I like to cook, even if I might not be the best at it.

I always like trying new things. I'm rather reserved at first, but become rather exuberant around people I know well.

I know a lot about about surprising number of subjects, and at least a little about even more. I try to stay well-read, and I like to think it shows.

I'm a feminist, a socialist, and a radical polytheist.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
At the moment, I'm doing freelance stagehand work in the Indy area, mostly at a local scene shop. When I can, I put together smaller projects - I occasionally drop by the Makerspace in town, as I have time. I would love to build my own CNC router, or a small 3D printer.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Seeing the bright side. Exercising patience. Coming up with crazy ideas. Starting projects (and I'm getting better at finishing them, too!). Diffusing conflicts. Helping friends through rough patches. Fixing bikes. Research.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books... there's too much! I tend to browse the stacks in the library and the bookstore, picking up random books to read their summaries and discover new authors to read. I like a lot of fantasy, science fiction, and even a little horror. Some of the bigger names: Garth Nix, Ray Bradbury, Stephen King, Isaac Asimov, Chuck Palaniuk, Frank Herbert, Neal Stephenson, Jim Butcher. If you're really interested, look me up on goodreads.

Movies, off the top of my head: Ferris Beuller's Day Off, Serenity, Requiem for a Dream, American History X, Safety Not Guaranteed, Metropolis, Pan's Labyrinth (or just about anything directed by Guillermo del Toro), Mirror Mask

My musical tastes are eclectic at best: jazz, funk, industrial, swing, metal, symphonic, some folk, big band, electronica, 80's & 90's pop, and alt. rock are what comes immediately to mind, but that's far from all. Lately, I'm fixated on RHCP, Audioslave, and Frank Turner.

Food is delicious. I love cajun cooking, but really any ethnic variety will do. Greek, Italian, Chinese, Thai, Mexican, Spanish, French, English, German, Indian, Egyptian, Jewish... bring it on. One of the very few exceptions is chocolate: I go for dark chocolate, or not at all.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-Good Friends
-Good Beer
-The Sky
-The Internet
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Politics. Socio-Economic Theory. Intersectional Feminism. Anti-Racist Activism. Role-playing Games. Religion. Food. How I could totally make that neat new thing I found at the store. Realizing I'll never really get around to making that neat new thing I saw a week ago.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Mashed potatoes are my comfort food. I have a small collection of rubber ducks.
