My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I love writing and have kept a journal for years. So for a treat, enjoy a sample of 13-year-old me. Ugh, what a bitch. Not much has changed.

1/5/2001

Today is my dad's birthday. I had a fun day. I straightened my room and made myself clean. Later on, Peter and I made a x-country ski trail in the backyard. We had fun skiing on it. We went to a concert and gave gifts to my dad for his special day.

I hope that I won the geo bee. Jeremy, Elliot, Andi, and Louisa don't deserve to win; I do. In a way, representing the school would be embarrassing. My teachers already make such a big deal about me. Being the smartest is annoying sometimes.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Making money and spending money, running, consulting my Magic 8 Ball regularly, sewing clothes for myself, walking everywhere in heels, watching baseball.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Having superb taste, taking chances, finding cars in parking lots, ordering food for everyone in a group at restaurants.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I'm 'mysterious' or some nonsense.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I read lots of novels, epistolary to postmodern. Three favorites though: Hopscotch (Cortazar), Tin Drum (Grass), and Crying of Lot 49 (duh, Pynchon). Lovelovelove suggestions of good ones.

Not so secretly obsessed with the Shangri-Las.

I eat all things spicy and, you know, key lime pie.

Shows/Movies: meh. Unfortunately wasn't graced with much of a seated attention span.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
variety, good taste, lemonade, thrift stores, internet, a journal
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Abandoned buildings, intellectual property, and the landscape that is the internet (especially ghost towns like geocities and livejournal)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Friday night's just like any other night, to be honest. I'm not much one for the getting-ready-to-go-out thing. I come ready, I just do.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I like drama and gossip.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Things like 'grabbing coffee' or 'seeing a movie' bore you to death and you have a better suggestion.
