My self-summary
My time is divided between photography, the office, the outdoors, dance, amazing people and art.

TV is out, real world is in (3D and all senses). Food is medicine and art, Yoga is breath, play is life. I'm thin and fit.

Grey sideburns since my twenties; blue eyes since birth.

Born in Europe, arrived in L.A. 11 years ago, still carry my Slavic accent.

I care about authenticity more than almost anything else. Screw BS, embrace kindness.

I am generous, genuine and innocent.
What I’m doing with my life
Learning Tango. Seeing and capturing beauty. Staying surprised. Helping parents "end the cycle" and thrive. Soaring.
I’m really good at
Capturing essence on film.
Cuddling (references available upon request).
Staying with you during the storm.
Listening without trying to fix it.
Making time slow down.
Remaining open.
The first things people usually notice about me
My accent which they'll later misplace for another European country.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
John Stewart, TED Talks, Documentaries. Poetic, beautiful and bad movies. Latest inspiration: Adam Curtis' Century of the Self, Von Trier's Dogme 2: Idiots. David Attenborough. Cats riding roombas on YouTube. Whenever I feel I've "lost" the wonder of life, I watch OMG cat meets the dramatic lemur. I enjoyed Firefly and Carnivale, but that's about it for T.V.

Current books:
- I Am That
- Raising Our Children, Raising Ourselves
- The Fifth Sacred Thing (just finished... what a ride)
- The Gift by Hafiz
- The Ethical Slut
- The Alchemist

Music that touches, heals or makes me move. On rotation: world music (mainly African, Indian, Middle-Eastern), Stars of the Lid, Jerry Ricks, Ali Farka Toure, Riuichi Sakamoto, I am in search of raw, unique, felt, authentic -- countless DJs, one hit wonders, Ry Cooder, Arvo Part, Cinematic Orchestra, Yo-Yo Ma, Juana Molina along with Sublime, Cypress Hill, the Beatles and the Beatnuts. I also enjoy talks by Naomi Aldort, Eckhart Tolle, David Deida, Byron Katie, Wayne Liquorman.

Food. Is. Art, and L.A. is the place to be (I kid, I kid, I've heard of NYC). I eat what I crave, currently clean, mostly vegetarian. You will see me drive for good Japanese, Middle Eastern, Vietnamese, authentic-ish Chinese, Jewish, Thai, French, sometimes fusion and that Hot Pot place with cloned sheep wallpapers. I make a mean baked potato, all-organic chocolate truffles and some Bulgarian dishes that have my friends lick the plates clean. I do, too.

I sometimes bring my hot sauce with me. Here, I said it.

Update: since I started juicing my diet is shrinking.
The six things I could never do without
Sky, for scale,
Taking photos, sharing how I see
Unstructured time, improv!, life as theater
Touch and play, dancing, cuddling, wrestling, roughhousing, physical affection.
Working my way back to toddler-quality laughter
Slow time
Barefoot runs and Yoga on the beach; the intensity of sprinting, fresh air, hot sun, cool water.
The honest beyond honest, real friends, lovers, strangers.
Clean food.
People like me.

tl;dr: beauty, togetherness, solitude, honesty, presence and play.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
1. How huge this thing is. Seriously, we are made of stars.
2. Dogs. Big, playful, funny dogs.
3. Play is as the most efficient way to learn.

I also spend time beyond the thinking narrative, disengaging from the mind. The unspeakable is a part of my life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Away from crowds, screens, alcohol, loud music. Often in nature, or getting ready for it.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I get my news from the Internet. I grew up religion-free.

I may have saved your profile for the book and movie lists.

I have realized I need depth, integrity and commitment in all my relations.
You should message me if
You play, laugh and break a sweat daily. Left alone, you gravitate towards happiness. You feel your feelings and don't believe all thoughts.

You eat clean food.

You are willing to be seen and embraced as you are.
