A little more about me:
I currently work as a copy editor for Gatehouse Media. Basically, I design pages that go in newspapers across the country. I'm pretty passionate about journalism and strive to become a sportswriter, but right now this is what pays the bills, and it's not so bad.
My job makes dating difficult. My days off often vary from week to week and include a lot of weekends. My normal shifts run from about 3:30 p.m. until midnight.
Sports are a big part of my life. As an aspiring sportswriter, I'm constantly scouring the latest blogs and news sites and am an information sponge. I'm incredibly opinionated about sports and can get pretty animated when debating sports with my friends and co-workers. But it's all in good fun.
I'm also a huge movie buff (some would say snob). While I understand the triviality of the Academy Awards, following the award season is a fun hobby of mine. I minored in film studies in college and have seen every Academy Award Best Picture winner in history. I also watch every major nominee each Oscar season. I've also seen approximately 235-240 of IMDb's Top 250 movies of all time (the list changes often), and all of the American Film Institute's Top 100 movies of all time.
I'm also working on getting in good shape. Again, I know that's cliche, but I'm rededicated to preserving my healthy and well being. I wasn't always as big of a guy as I am now and I won't be for too much longer if all goes as planned.
I also recently learned I'm somewhat of a feminist. I've never really considered myself one but a close friend who knows my opinions on a lot recently described me as such. I'm not a political person by any means, but I have my opinions on social issues and think I know right from wrong pretty well.
