My Self-Summary

Entertaining ideas of "reality" within discussions of self-perception may at first glance seem biased. But be that as it may--and conversely, as it may not--I can say definitively and unequivocally that I am not impossibly very normal. At this point, I'm thinking that you shouldn't listen to me talk about myself. And if I wasn't being asked to describe myself, I'd be entirely unwilling to do so. That's how I roll. I figure that everyone is unique and if I'm going to communicate to anyone who I am, it's going to take more than a little textbox of words. Take me at my word that there's no reason not to get to know me better; however, if you are interested in doing that, I suggest you do that in your own way.

I'm thinking about why I'm here. I'd like to meet someone who's "weird" like me (and I mean that in a very positive way). But at the same time, I've found the need to distance myself from "certain types." Most specifically, those who use quotation marks "unnecessarily" and "obnoxiously."

So, I think I've been very descriptive. If I've left anything out, feel free to ask.

What I’m doing with my life

I graduated. I'm working. I'm trying to make the best of my life as much as I know how. I'm planning on going back for an MBA when I can. During the day, I'm a project manager at a technology firm in Moffett Field. During the night, I'm .........wait for it....... Batman.

I’m really good at

Obfuscation. Pedantic banter. I don't know. Having a good time.

The first things people usually notice about me

My facial tattoos (don't worry, they wash off with soap and water).

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

a) Kurt Vonnegut, Catcher in the Rye, Pleasure of My Company, Mother Tongue, South of the Border West of the Sun.

b) it's hard not to miss 50 movies that I've probably said are my favorite at one point or another. Dr. Strangelove, Scarface, Shaun of the Dead, Best in Show, LA Story, LA Confidential, Star Wars, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Titus, Old School, Wedding Crashers, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Batman, Adaptations, Back to the Future, Hoosiers, Three Kings, Reservoir Dogs, Snatch, Fight Club.

c) this is hard. Guns n Roses, Alice Cooper, Snoop Dogg, Outkast, Aerosmith, Led Zepplin, Aphex Twin, Dr. Dre, Sublime, I have a thing for Gwen Stefani. In fact, this has created some deal of friction in past relationships. I've laid it on the table. So...

d) I love to cook. If I barbecued every day for the rest of my life, I would be one happy dude. I like food.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

did I mention I'm batman?
