My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm an adventurous, somewhat nerdy guy who is trying his best to enjoy every moment.
I am a life-long learner. I love learning about new things, places, people, and recipes that involve bacon. I'm a firm believer in learning something new every day.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I just finished my Master's in image processing and am working full time as an Electrical Engineer.
I enjoy hiking (I go out most every weekend) and I've been trying to hit some new places lately.
My main hobby is having lots of hobbies. Besides hiking I cook, read, watch movies, garden, and play video games to name a few.
I've been slowly scratching off places on my travel list but there is still a lot of the world I'd like to see.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm quite proficient in math which is great for solving engineering problems but doesn't have much use outside of that (partial differential equations don't come up much in daily activities).

On a more practical side I've been working on my cooking skills and I'm quite proud of some of the dishes I can make.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
If you see me out in public somewhere with friends, there is a very good chance that I am dancing at that moment.
If I happen to be still for some strange reason, you might notice that I'm fairly tall or wearing an odd t-shirt (I have dozens).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I'm starting to transition from reading academic papers to reading less math-heavy stuff.
I've been working my way through the "Foundation" series as well as the "Fire and Ice" series. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite as I've loved pretty much everything I've read. I have a handful of comic books I read (Deadpool rocks!).

My favorite movies are of the sci-fi, comedy, and/or action varieties. Favorites include 'Back to the Future', 'The Princess Bride', 'The Fifth Element', The Cornetto Trilogy, 'Moon', 'Galaxy Quest', 'Trollhunter', and the list goes on.
I recently saw 'Ex Machina' and I have to say I was blown away.

I don't have cable, but I keep up with a handful of shows: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Dr. Who, Archer, Top Gear (RIP), Mythbusters, Sherlock, and and a few others.

Some of my favorites bands are 'Pink Floyd', 'Sublime', 'Of Monsters and Men', and 'The Heavy'. I have a vinyl collection of classic rock and I've slowly been building up with some new stuff: just got 'Postal Service' and 'Flogging Molly'.

I eat out probably more often than I should. I love Thai and Vietnamese and I will never turn down good hot wings.
At home I enjoy making a good stew or some type of casserole.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My dog
The rest in no particular order:
Friends/Family
Good food (hot wings, sushi, pho)
Computers
Mountains
Knowledge/Education
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Having just finished my degree I have been thinking about what to do next. Perhaps dragon taming - though I've heard the job market in the area is pretty thin.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I usually meet up with friends and family at La Cumbre on Fridays. It's a good day to wind down the week and discuss any weekend plans.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I can translate binary to English.

If you think we'd get along or if you want to go hiking or beer tasting or beer hiking tasting send me a message, preferably through OkCupid as I'm quite rusty at interpreting smoke signals.
