My self-summary
Me: gardener, urban agriculture activist, artist, cyclist, and etc.

I live in Capitol Hill. I like to wake up before the sun. I have a boom box that is big and loud and waterproof, and I listen to KEXP all of the time.

I love to read. Love to play with watercolors. Love to ride my bike around. Always challenging myself to be the best I can be. I am a straight-shooter, and I don't appreciate bullshit: don't have time for it actually.

Thats why I'm on this site really, because I don't have a lot of time to meet people down to hangout sometimes. Not a whole lot of alluring ladies in my acquaintance right now either, for some reason. That said, I have misgivings about my presence on this site. It feels very shallow and cynical. But that is my problem, not yours, so never you mind :)

The album "Plans" by Death Cab for Cutie accurately describes my present situation.... I just discovered.
What I’m doing with my life
I am an urban agriculture activist; self-styled mind you, but in an increasingly legit way. I have a small gardening business: myself and a rotating cast of gardener homies. We run our business cooperatively. My role is to create designs, find clients, and do kick-ass maintenance. We create garden spaces that are beautiful, promote pollinators and biodiversity, primarily native plants and edibles with some choice ornamentals thrown in for good measure, and that are also built well- with recycled materials if possible- and on schedule, etc. Mostly on bikes too.

I have some personal gardens too. Trying to create something wonderful in my neighborhood, by connecting the space we share: both physical and spiritual.

I volunteer at the food bank most Tuesdays and Thursdays. I love it so much. My dream job is at the intersection of urban agriculture, food justice, and habitat restoration; unleashing the potential of a people free from oppression. I am at my best when I am working at the food bank, and I am excited to think of all I can achieve in the years to come through my work with the food bank.

I also volunteer with an anarchist urban agriculture collective, espeically at a particular garden in the central district. It is gonna look so fly by mid may, just you wait! I like to garden at the community garden because I get to interact with big ole' public, and speak nicely with kind strangers or crazy ones. I keep hoping that one of these days I'll meet a beautiful stranger that way, but mostly its old folks or people asking for money.
I’m really good at
gardening, creating landscape designs, fixing things, remembering, listening, appreciating, noticing, showing up, being a righteous dude generally.
The first things people usually notice about me
My scent, but in a good way. Usually clary sage essential oil with the minerally smell of dirt, a little bit of muskiness, and marijuana. Thats the recipe, but no one can wear it like I can. I get "you smell like earl grey" frequently.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Lately my favorite reading is Latin America travel writing, "In Patagonia" by Bruce Chatwin is possibly the most famous representative of the genre. I also read gardening books and field guides. Always have my nose in a book.
The six things I could never do without
I don't need any of my things, I could never do without my heartbeat though.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to make dreams come true... and death. I am carefree and optimistic, but keenly aware that my life is brief, and that I ought to make the most of it. As my friend Boris says, "when life gives you lemons.... Hey! Free lemons!"
On a typical Friday night I am
Smoking herb, making watercolors and vegan mexican food, drinkin' by myself or with a homie or two. If it is nice, maybe having a bonfire somewhere. Friday night is also good for eating mushrooms, which is something I've been known to do.

You should message me if
You should message me if you think I'm interesting and you are interested. I want to hear from you if you love life and love yourself and are passionately pursuing whatever it is you want to pursue. Be bright, courageous, beautiful, and inspiring.

And... I have a thing for girls with trucks, so you should especially message me if you're one of those. Or if you're a gardener or an aspiring gardener. Or if you want to go sailing sometime, cause we gotta boat!
