I am awkward, witty, and pensive.
My Self-Summary
Hola,
I am seeking comrades. Could u be a new member of my nonexistant
crew? All I demand is a hint of humor, a dash of intelligence, and
a thirst for life. I am a grad student learning about government at
UT and about to jump ship (on acadamia) for something more
practical like social work.
I am looking for some people to enjoy the finer things in life
with, like good dinner parties with bad musical themes. Take a
chance if you like chubby jewesses!
What I’m doing with my life
Political Theory. Social work. And raising a lovely, even if ill
mannered puppy. If she's happy (and not consuming anything worth
more than 50 dollars, or anything poisonous) I'm happy.
I am planning my next career move. Which is causing me a bit of
angst right now. But I am pretty sure I am going to end up in
social work. I really need to be doing something actively for
others in order to feel good about my life. O and travel is pretty
essential to my mental health.
I’m really good at
Drunken philosophizing, listening, tug of war with medium sized
dogs, crayoning outside of the lines, grading papers.
The first things people usually notice about me
My pointy nose. My strange elocution.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I looove books. They are the only material objects I really care
for. I am hugely into the classics. I almost went to one o those
crazy great-book curriculum schools for undergrad. But I am open to
some new stuff too.
Movies and music, I could use some further education. I certainly
enjoy wasting a nice night a alamo draft house. I netflix. I
pandora and listen to records on my record player.
I am a vegetarian but I don't have problems with you eating bundles
of meat. Just don't expect me to cook your kill from a hunt.
The six things I could never do without
Puppy, travel, flip-flops, fiction literature, mood altering
substances, the people who give life meaning
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Politics, patriotism, and education, in combination, it's my
job-ish. For fun my mind drifts to happiness, the arts, goodness,
human rights, philosophical therapy, all the colors of the wind,
and the next fabulous trip I might take.
On a typical Friday night I am
Tweezing my eyebrows. Save me before I look like the boy in
"Powder."
Or bunkered down with a great translation of Tolstoy (couldn't
spell dostoyevsky so i went for the next best thing) and a cup of
green tea.
Or enjoying a microbrew beer and watching a poetry slam.
Or downing a bottle of wine and dancing up a storm.
I also love watching plays and cooking up dinners for comrades. And
you can never go wrong with a trip to the dog park.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I wear a size 10.5 shoe, but normally go up to 11, darn the shoe
stores of amurica and their catering to the dainty-footed public.
You should message me if
you think it would bring us mutual delight.
