I am a shy extrovert, witty, and bookish.
My Self-Summary
The arts are the center of my life. I draw, paint, write, sing,
attempt to play a musical instrument or 2 or 3....oh the joy!
I am kind of shy, but once i feel comfortable around people I start
to spew off random jokes, usually vulgar in nature. I just can't
help it.
What I’m doing with my life
I am a very busy person, but at the same time, it would be nice to
have a member of the opposite sex in the picture. So maybe you are
busy, too?
I am a full time student, studying art. Also I work a part time
gig.
I am working on my under-grad, and plan on going on to more school
after I am finished, possibly doing archival work or library
sciences.
I am also rekindling a music project long forgotten, in which I
play guitar and sing. Although, I am shy, so one might find me
reluctant to sing in front of anyone but close friends (unless i
have had a few drinkies?)
I’m really good at
Cooking: especially tofu stir-fry (crispy tofu is the secret!). or
Indian food.
Painting: I can draw faces pretty well. And bodies.
Laughing: one of my favorite things to do.
Talking before thinking. Feeling Anxious. Obsessing over silly
stuff, like a painting, a character in a book, or a band.
Not good at: Typing, smiling in pictures, submitting to authority.
The first things people usually notice about me
My hair. Usually get a lot of compliments on that. Sometimes it
makes me want to cut it all off.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
books: Black Spring by Henry Miller, Kafka on the Shore by Haruki
Murakami, American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis, Our Band Could Be
Your Life by Michael Azerrad, Black Hole by Charles Burns, Blood
and Guts in High School by Kathy Acker. Also, most classic
literature. that is what i thought of right now.
films: Dead Man, Taxi Driver, Science of Sleep, Motorcycle Diaries,
errrr anything John Waters or Jim Jarmusch. Sheesh. Lots
more.
Music is so complicated. I like good things. I can say I really
like folk & country, whether new stuff (Elliott Smith, some
Blitzen Trapper), or classics like Townes Van Zandt, Neil Young,
Gram Parsons.
I also like loud crazy shit like the Stooges, the Birthday Party,
the Swans.
Some old favorites of mine: PJ Harvey, Nick Cave & the Bad
Seeds (up to about 2002ish), Low (highlight of the year Alan
Sparhawk put me on a guest-list to a sold out show), Danzig, Big
Star, the Cramps, the Gun Club, Enon. and i will always have a
place in my heart for Peaches. So much more, too.
Food:ESPECIALLY Indian, Mexican and Japanese food. I am building up
a spice tolerance right now. favorite indian- saag aloo, if you
know what that is, you are golden!
The six things I could never do without
My cats.
Music.
Something to draw with/on.
Laughter.
Dirty Jokes, and someone who appreciates them.
My friends!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
people, pictures, paintings, music, chords, that one song by Big
Star, how I should empty the pan in the fridge before it gets
moldy, weird stuff i hear at work, "how can you tell if a guy
really likes you?"....so much randomness
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends, at a show to see some live music, or perhaps
hibernating. It kind of depends on my mood.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I stole a copy of Whitman's "Leaves of Grass" when I was in middle
school. (It was worth it!)
And I lived in the UK for a little stint where I worked as a manual
dishwasher in an Inn/Restaurant in Wales. I was pulled off the
floor as a waitress because I was too nice and thus too "American."
You should message me if
you are intense and creative. You are busy, too. You think Spinal
Tap would be hilarious to watch again.....errr I dunno, you realize
I am pretty incredible and the most beautiful thing you have ever
seen.....
